Ireland amends Constitution, saying yes to the EU

Ireland has passed the second referendum on the Lisbon Treaty with an overwhelming majority of 67 per cent in favour as just two of the 43 constituencies voted against it...
...The referendum was carried with 67.1 per cent of the electorate voting in favour, reflecting a 20.5 per cent swing to the Yes side since the June 2008 referendum. In the first Lisbon poll, the No side secured 53.4 per cent of the vote...
...European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said he saw the Yes vote as indicative of the Irish electorate's confidence in the European Union and as a “sign that Ireland recognises the role that the European Union has played in responding to the economic crisis”...

This is a sad day for Ireland and anyone watching the slow takeover of globalism in Europe. When Ireland voted no they put a massive roadblock in the EU's plans, it is a shame that the EU has been able to use the poor economy as a way to fool the people of Ireland into voting in favor of the EU.

The Treaty of Lisbon = 6th

The Treaty of Lisbon = 6th stage of economic integration

several MEPs said that it'd be like reversing the positive effects of the French Revolution...kind of a return to a neo-feudalistic era

The potato famine was nothing

compared to the Hell that's headed for Ireland. They were right to be frightened but the EU can't save them and they were stupid to believe it could.

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

All the heads

Of gubs are in on the globalization of the world. Whether they pretend to be or not. They can't have all seemingly bad guys up front, now can they? How do you think these leaders got we they are now? They were born into the bloodline.

Irish person here!

who voted a big fat NO! (again)

disgusted with my country right now

but you must understand the enormous pressure to vote yes this time - the money that went into the yes campaign versus the no campaign was ridiculous - we were outgunned at least 10 to 1 :( - broadcasting standards were completely thrown out the window - ALL of the major political parties in Ireland were screaming for a yes vote.

the Irish economy has completely imploded - the country is bankrupt - the European Central Bank (ECB) has us on life support

even so 33% of us voted NO (impressive if you think of the pressures)

anyway we are holding out hope (though slim) that the Czechs or the Polish can stymie the process of ratification or that David Cameron (who will most likely be the UK's next prime minister) can push for a referendum in the UK when he is elected (the Brits would definitely vote No if they got a chance) - the fat lady ain't singing (but she's got a mike in her hand)

anyway here's a little vid of a great Irish revolutionary leader (and our first president) and what he thought about the European project in the 50's

Sorry guys - we just couldn't pull it off this time

That is good to hear

It can't be forgotten the number of Irish who fought with everything they had to defeat it.

Ireland failed the liberty

Ireland failed the liberty test. Good job to the people who voted against it though. The rest need to watch some RP videos.

Did anyone really expect a different outcome?

The game is rigged. It works the same way here.
Vote no for the bailouts? Ok, we'll just wait a bit and vote again. The NWO will not loose until and unless the people figure it out and stand up for themselves. It's pretty damn obvious that the world is moving toward global government, but that doesn't stop the brainless masses from dismissing such thoughts. Eventually though it will become undeniable for even the average stooge.

Ireland and the NWO

It certainly is an irony, not to say a pity, that a country whose people so bravely resisted brutal, indeed at times almost genocidal slavery and occupation by a vicious and rapacious imperial power--the British Empire--for more than six centuries should so supinely and mindlessly surrender to an even more sinister and dangerous power--the European Union and the New World Order which it represents.

Like the Bourbons on the eve of the French Revolution, it seems that the sons (and daughters) of Erin have learned nothing, and forgotten nothing.

Maybe they will rescind their application for membership, but I am not holding my breath.

Got wool?

There are still few

There are still few countries left: Czech Republic (constitutional court have to 'check' it, president has to sign it and he doesn't want to at all), Great Britain (queen didnt send it yet, there might be a refrendum next year which would be No almost for sure), Finland (google 'Aland Lisbon').

Ah yes the President of the Czech Republic

Václav Klaus, from what I've heard he has libertarian leanings, doesn't believe in global warming and hates the EU.

Dark days ahead.

What happened? I was proud of Ireland for standing up. I don't get it. I heard a while back they did a real media job on them.
Tony Blair, new Pres. of the EU. What a wierdo. Reminds me of Mad Magazine.

Very sad news, indeed.

The NWO won that round.

For awhile I thought we had it

I thought we would begin to see EU countries turning against globalism.
