PLEASE! Don't attack 'The View'

Joy had a little pull to get him on there and her overall thoughts were very supportive.

We ALL agree she is a little hung up on abortion...some women are. Ron has a medical degree and years of experience to validate his opinion, logically. She is straight-line feminist and wants to push that agenda. That's fine. Most women (even pro-choice ones) have a larger supporting process that includes other issues.

So, be nice to 'The View' and since that one lady, Sherri-I think, said there were "so many more questions" they had for him and wish they had more time...

So, I suggest we just be polite and ASK FOR MORE TIME!

POLITELY.

I won't attack it..

I just don't watch it. It's their voices...makes me want to gouge out my eyes and cut off my ears.

Dr. Paul has been tempered through years of battling bureaucracy

Ron did quite well to stay on message and cut to the core of his beliefs. He was firm when necessary and yet still polite. He listened well to the several questions posed to him and answered them all, albeit not to the full satisfaction of most watching. This was a good appearance by Dr. Paul. The hosts had quite a few complimentary things to say about congressman Paul before he even took the stage. His ability to absorb each of the hosts' questions and concerns and address them in such a short amount of time is testament to Dr. Paul's ability to perform under pressure. I would not be surprised if he were invited back to answer more questions.

Email a thankyou, and watch the ratings spike.

This will get him on again.

I thought it was a good showing.

I thought Ron Paul did well. It's a debate about a tough subject and I can appreciate those types of exchanges.

It is better served to handle tough decisions at the local level.... was a great response.

I greatly appreciate the View having Ron Paul being on their show.... I'm sure he did well within their demographic.

Have you every tried to watch that show? Trust me, the format was no different than any of their other shows, so don't think he was treated unfairly. I actually think he was treated with respect.

WHAT??? I just watched it

Was that even an interview? It was over before I even sat down. They yapped for 50 minutes about fluff and then then hammered him on abortion, and then came the "thank you we wish we had more time..."

Unreal..

I know, I know...

It was inane, but it's geared toward a very different audience than the news shows Ron Paul is more accustomed to doing. I thought he handled the inanity well, at least way better than I would have! Like I said before, I think Ron Paul needs more exposure on shows women watch.

Totally agree. Any

Totally agree. Any objections that are surfacing at this point need to be addressed and overcome.

My fellow Americans

My fellow Americans:

Recorded history show the cycle of man. Oppressed people find courage…courage bring action….action is followed by liberty…liberty brings affluent Society….being affluent we reseeds into complacency…complacency gives way to apathy…apathy turns into dependency … dependency completes the cycle back to oppression. History will record that America is at a tipping point between apathy and dependency.

In the next few months the course for America will be set. The primary elections gives common people a voice. For the first time, in your life time, you are given a choice. We can choose between prominent politicians or a statesman, a man who has fought all of his life, sometimes alone in the house of congress, to preserve the rights of all free men. We have been given the opportunity to join this noble endeavor. I for one welcome this challenge.

America, from it’s inception, has always been a beacon of hope. Today, even tarnished, we remains the leader of the free world. The world is calling out to be free.

We are at the fork in the road. What we do now will effect the liberty of all future Americans, plus the world of humanity. Our liberty, guaranteed by the constitution, is being eroded away. Some time laws are passed for noble causes, the results are the same, lost of liberty. Most of time it is a planed erosion. A republic, like the 10 commandments, will stand the test of time, left in it’s purest form. A democracy, acting on the whim of the majority, has no foundation. The results is slide into fascism, a total lost of freedom. All humanity are endowed by our creator with these inalienable rights, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We as Americans are guaranteed this by law.

George Washington said, “Americans would rather die on feet than live on their knees.” I ask all Americans to stand with me, no matter your political leaning or ideology. The alternative is un-thinkable.

All humanity is connected by 6 degrees of separation, meaning if you pass this message to all your friends and they in-turn do the same we can reach the world. Please take some time to ponder the enormity of the situation. Then join with me, together we can make a better world for our children and their children’s children, I thank you and they will too.

Our statesman, RON PAUL is putting his very life on the line, can we as Americans do any less.

If you'd like to thank The View for having Ron Paul on the show and encourage them to have him on again, here is the link:

http://abc.go.com/daytime/theview/ask

I'd suggest that we all remember that we will catch more flies with honey than vinegar, so be nice! The goal here is to get Dr. Paul more airtime, so let's present our case in such a way that it compels them to get him back on the show!

Here's what I sent in:

----------

Hello,

I'd just like to thank you for having Dr. Ron Paul on your show and for giving him the opportunity to express his views. I believe that Dr. Paul is one of the most interesting, honest, and genuine candidates for president this country has ever seen. He is a true statesmen, not a politician like most of the other candidates. Many members of the media tend to discount his candidacy and simply won't give him the exposure he deserves, so I believe you should be commended for giving him an opportunity to speak. Unfortunately, his interview on your program seemed to focus on only one or two topics. I think there are many other questions the American people would like to hear Dr. Paul's positions on, so if it is possible for you to have him back again, I'd certainly tune in, as would thousands if not millions of other Americans.

Best Regards,

Rob Tyree

I pretty confident that

I pretty confident that he'll be brought back to the show soon, especially after Dec. 16

Collectivism is slavery.

That's a good idea

Actually, during her introduction, Joy said, "he could be president!" and contradicted herself later. The other hosts did seem annoyed with her for saying, "you're not going to be president." Obviously, none of the ladies were very good at carrying out a professional interview. But that's O.K.! Ron Paul was patient, didn't talk down to them (I'm not sure I could've resisted that) or even at them: he engaged them in conversation to help them clarify their views.

I thought overall it was a good piece, and probably well suited to the audience of "The View." I would like him to be on the show again, especially since I think he needs to do more venues with the potential to attract female voters.

The View treated Dr. Paul with respect.

I know we would have done it differently. But it is not our show. I thought the view was respectful. As far as Baheart she said before RP came out he could be the next President of these United States. So I forgive her for what she said later.

I love Ron Paul. He is my

I love Ron Paul. He is my hero. I do not think he handled the question on abortion very well this time. He spun it around and put up a straw man argument against the hostess. This turned out poorly and ended up with all of them attacking him. He could have just told the story about his OB years and how he had to look at the sonograms so he knew it was life. Then stopped and stood on his beliefs. This would have allowed them to move on. Most people, even though they dont agree with your position will respect them as long as you dont attack them and put them on the defensive.

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.
Thomas Jefferson, 1791

The problem with that approach...

...is that you would end up with two polarized points of view, ultimately achieving nothing. In answering the questions asked, and the way he did, Dr. Paul had a chance to educate the viewer far beyond the typical abortion argument. He knew who his audience was and what needed to be said to them.

It was a good interview

He was just introduced to a few million American women in a positive light. Perfect. Mission accomplished.

thanks for this

If we are smart, we would email them tons of GOOD email

It seems likely to me that they might comment in the next few days about how many emails they got as a result of Dr. Paul being on their show. Would we rather they say, "We got a ton of emails thanking us", or "We got a ton of hate mail"...

her "favorite Republican"

Just watched the YouTube clip, and I was surprised that Joy started the intro with "no wonder he's my favorite Republican".

Not a bad first impression to give the audience!

Plus, I think bringing up some of the most controversial issues (esp for Democrats/liberals) was a good thing for RP because he had a chance to explain his positions HIMSELF.. rather than letting the pundits mis-state things as usual.

And after Joy made that silly comment about not expecting to win (& then seemed embarrassed about after), and he responded with "...do you want those pro-war people to win?!" - Joy did repeat again "no, that's why I like you!"

So I think overall this was xlnt PR, and will make a very good impression on a lot of people... surely enough to get them thinking & looking into Ron Paul, maybe for the first time!

I think Chad has a GREAT Point!

We have been using militaristic terms like the "Moneybomb". Let's get some more attention...Killing them with Kindness! I've seen the symbol...the bombthrower with a boutique of flowers. That should be our symbol for the Ron Paul Army!

send POSITIVE comment/letter, whether you ask for more or not

If they get a lot of good feedback they are much more likley to invite him back.

Show your support, and lots of it, especially if you are female (a bunch of random letters from dudes might make them wonder how much is their regular audience...), and ask for more time if you like. It's most important to just say THANK YOU though. Positive reinforcement here is best.

Oh, my response was positive

And nice, and kind...But I had to point-out the generous London & Moscow bookies who desperately-want to pay for Joy Behar's trip to & lavish tour of Europe. It would have been unkind NOT to have informed her of that wonderful opportunity. ;)

And hell, if I'd been that sure on the opposite-side in Jan or Feb. I'd have a 100 to 1 bet right now that I could sell-back to the bookies now offering six to one and finance my OWN lavish tour of Europe. The generous nature of free-market capitalism never ceases to amaze me...

Most of TheView viewers

Most of TheView viewers watch this show ONCE. Not on YouTube but only Live.
And for such a short appearance in people's live it was really GOOD interview.

Not bad!

I thought that was a great interveiw. Even the comment at the end was more of a question and had no strength behind it. This was a great moment for Ron Paul it shows he is now considered a contender.

WINNING IS ALL IN THE ATTITUDE!

Ron was a bit combative, but

Ron was a bit combative, but only because of the direct questions that were posed to him. I think he did a pretty good job, but it would have been nice to see more smiles on the stage.

Umm...these are really stupid women

Dr Paul handled himself great, He looked very comfortable given the inane questioning. Perhaps its good they are so obsessed with not being pregnant, these old hens don't have much to contribute to the gene pool.

Bruce, I think this is the

Bruce,

I think this is the NUMBER ONE LESSON that our movement needs to learn going into this primary season. The media doesn't respond well to hostility. They'll just miss any substance in your message and do a report that says "wow these guys have a bad temper...what a bunch crazies."

Instead, our motto needs to always be KILL THEM WITH KINDESS!!

Even if they make a blatantly false statement. Kill them with kindness or don't write anything at all.

Can anyone honestly tell me how a gaggle of offensive attack emails is more likely to convince a journalist or reporter?

a great interview!!!

I saw it on You Tube and not in 'real time,' but I thought it was an excellent interview. They went right to the topic most of them would oppose him on, and he got to explain his position, correct Whoopi, etc. Other than the Hasselbeck sub mumbling about driving a long way and having to be rich, you couldn't have asked for a better discussion in the limited time they had.

I may disagree with Whoopi on a number of issues - but that doesn't make her unintelligent. By pressing him on what she believed, he had an opportunity to clear it up for everyone (isn't that what he typically does?).

Dr. Paul was sharp, right there with them, not intimidated by them. And I don't believe Joy was being snarky in her question about him 'obviously not going to win.' That question even allowed Paul to point out that he is against the war in Iraq, which I don't believe had come up before that.

May all his interviewers ask tough questions - it gives him a chance to set himself apart from the other candidates. And may all his responses be as sharp as they were today.

My wife

My wife has already sent them each a thank you and a thumbs up email.
