I’m here to answer your questions, clarify misgivings and provide you with whatever information you need to understand our project and consider becoming a sponsor.

Airborne Ranger (82nd) wants to JUMP from the Blimp at Tea Party
Mike Semanoff of Orem, UT is a friend of mine (Yes, he's a Mormon and no, he isn't for Mitt!). Mike is a former 82nd Airborne Ranger and a champion natural bodybuilder. He still jumps many times a year for his adventure photography business. He is also a believer in Liberty.
When I showed him www.ronpaulblim.com Mike said, "I want to jump from that!" And he meant it. Mike wants to jump from the Ron Paul Blimp! He would love to do it for the Tea Party event in Boston, if possible. Imagine an elite All-American (former) soldier jumping from the Blimp down to the Tea Party trailing red, white and blue smoke!

I have maxed out 4600 (me and my wife) and donated 200 to the blimp. I have spent approx 6k supporting the good Dr so far.
I agree that the blimp is best for those that have already maxed, but this is a free market. Abundance comes from generosity. Give give give. Campaign first, blimp second and don't forget to make cookies for your neighbors this holiday season with a Ron Paul DVD taped to the plate!

I was not going to give because this thing looked like a real mess. You have renewed my spirit for the blimp and I'm in. Plus it would be too negative for this idea to fail. Just for the record. ATV pushed me over the edge with his pushiness on this subject. Last I checked I was still a grown adult and could make my own decisions.

If you know so much about what works and what doesn't,
why is the country in such a mess? You should have fixed it a long time ago.
I didn't donate or pledge on the blimp because I don't think it's cost effective, but I might be wrong!. For all I know (and for all you know), the blimp might increase the Tea Party dollars if it excites people.
The reality is that none of us knows what works and what doesn't. If we did, we could just write an equation for how to become president. Also, something that works today may not work tomorrow. Giving money directly to the campaign may not actually be the best use of the money. Nobody knows for sure!
So, stop dragging the movement down. Even if I don't support the blimp project, I fully recognize that it excites other people, and that may make the investment well worth it. If you're really behind this movement, you'll let people experiment with what excites them. This is not a top-down campaign, and your attempts to replace the official campaign's decentralized approach with your own top-down approach is counter productive (and irritating).

A dollar spent on the blimp could be $100 in media coverage
If the blimp only brings in an extra 3,500 new supporters (not hard at all) donating on Dec 16th, at $100 a piece it will have paid for itself. Many of our minibombs have easily brought in $200K +. No reason we can't do this.
