Police State Expands in NYC

A network of private and public surveillance cameras, license plate readers and weapons sensors already established in Lower Manhattan as an electronic bulwark against terrorist attacks will soon expand to a large patch of Midtown Manhattan, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly said Sunday as they announced the allocation of $24 million in Homeland Security grants toward the effort.

Mr. Bloomberg said the expanded monitoring network would cover the areas between 30th and 60th Streets, from the Hudson to the East River.

“We cannot afford to be complacent,” he said, noting that Midtown includes landmarks like Grand Central Terminal, the Empire State Building and the United Nations.

A more effective anti-terror

A more effective anti-terror strategy would be to stop making them by bombing their families in foreign countries. Just saying.

Then we can stop with this whole "we need to spy on you, for your own good" nonsense.

I met the Libertarian candidate (his name is Dobrian) at the For Liberty nyc premier. I was walking past him smoking a cigarette and he handed me a pin saying "I'd repeal the cigarette tax" and I shook his hand and made a friend. :)

Stolen money for false security

The 'event' of 9/11 created DHS through lies and deceptions. DHS is attempting to create as complete a surveillance state as our stolen money can buy.

Bloomberg..."They're trying to spread Homeland Security money around the country," he said. "They've turned it into pork barrel."

Bloomberg is right about one thing. Homeland Security is a pork barrel. Even my town of 300 people has DHS money cameras. The money is being spread all around the country to condition a great number of folks into believing this is the future. For those that depend on DHS spending, it is. It's a big industry of fear with a number of mega corporations making the profits while trickling down a little to keep the scam going right to the local level.

We do have a security problem in this country.

There is a big lapse in protection from our own government and their schemes. The false flag of 9/11 was just a beginning.
