This guy, his cronies and their thinking is about to go the way of the dinosaur. I looked at the NRSC website, and it didn't even show Schiff running in CT. A contribution to this group is a contribution against liberty candidates:
Last year, Congress overwhelmingly passed bipartisan legislation granting immunity to telecommunications companies that have cooperated with federal authorities' anti-terrorism efforts. Even then-Senator Barack Obama voted in favor of the measure.
But now one of the most outspoken critics of this bill is back in an attempt to boost his re-election chances. Senator Chris Dodd, the extremely vulnerable incumbent Democrat, has re-introduced legislation to open telecom firms to civil and criminal lawsuits - the ACLU is salivating at the opportunity.
Their crime? Cooperating with authorities who were trying to protect Americans from another large scale terrorist attack.
Senator Dodd is considered one of the most vulnerable Democrats in the Senate up for re-election in 2010. This new effort to expose those who cooperate with government authorities to civil and criminal lawsuits is just his most recent effort to court the extreme liberal left in his re-election efforts - a constituency he will need if he is to get re-elected.

I live in Connecticut and Schiff doesn't appear to be running. Simmons can be heard on conservative talk radio and he's going around the state meeting with local town committees. Caligiuri held a town hall meeting by telephone for party members. Foley is meeting with town committees. McMahon has radio and TV ads running, she is meeting with town committees and was on the Talk of Connecticut today. Schiff is MIA. He has said he's not quitting his job and he's going to run in his spare time. He doesn't appear to be a serious candidate so I can't fault the NRSC for not listing him.

Has Schiff officially announced?
Maybe they didn't get a copy of the Press Release?
In addition to politely informing them of their omission, perhaps we should contact the Schiff campaign to alert them to this issue so they can be listed on the website.
Interestingly, Bunning in KY has announced he is not seeking re-election. Yet they don't show ANY republican candidates for the seat. You'd think they want to keep the seat in their hands.

As I have said before,
As I have said before, Congress does not have the authority to grant immunity to any entity for violating the Rights of American citizens. Congress does not have that right itself other than to amend the Constitution. At the same time, Congress cannot grant additional powers to the Administration other than by Constitutional amendment.
When are the American people going to wake up and read their Constitution? Most of what our criminal politicians do is in violation of the law - which is what makes them criminals.
Voting for legislation that violates the Constitution not only makes these legislators guilty of perjury (for violating their oaths), they are also in violation of the United States Code section that involves criminal penalties for any public official who violates the rights of American citizens. This makes them subject to criminal and civil penalties. They aren't loosing any sleep over this with our current corrupt court system, but the Nazis weren't too worried in 1941 either.
