Rand Paul Within Striking Distance!

Rand Paul poll numbers show him within striking distance of front runner, Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson, in KY's US senate race. He is just 11 points behind his establishment backed opponent.
Paul, a Bowling Green-based ophthalmologist and founder of Kentucky Taxpayers United, has raised over $1 million in the third quarter for his bid. Over 13,000 individuals donated an average of $84, largely over the internet, bringing his total to more than $1,140,000 after less than two months of official campaigning.

Solid polling numbers plus $1+ million raised puts Rand in the strongest possible position to win the primary against Grayson. Thanks to all Daily Paulers who helped! A Senator would be a big win.

I would think it would be closer at about two or three percentage points. No matter, his numbers will quickly crush Trey Grayson when the majority of the people of Kentucky see that Rand Paul truly is a credible candidate.

I demand that a new push/campaign for $1 from every supporter be made part of the landscape..
Everyone is hurting financially, but not for $1 each.
It's the barest minimum to be able to call oneself a supporter.
There may
be a minimum credit card transaction fee in addition to a fee based on a percentage of the transaction . I'm not sure what the break even point is.
Also
I think a number of people who voted for Paul in the Primaries were not fanatical in ther dedication to him. I know a number of casual Ron Paul supporters.

Where did you get that 11 point figure for Rand vs Trayson?
The Rasmussen poll doesn't appear to have pitted Rand against Trey, only each against each Democrat.

This doesn't say it was from the new Rasmussen poll, it was from the poll from a month or two ago...

The latest poll didn't compare Greyson with Paul. However, they both polled almost identically when put up against their democratic counterparts so my guess is they're neck and neck.
