Rasmussen: Huckabee tied for 1st place nationally?
Submitted by kushaze on Tue, 12/04/2007 - 13:00I found this on the Huckabee website and on Rasmussen. This is the exact reason why polls are inaccurate. Still, it is uplifiting to know how close the race is even with the polls inaccuracy. Ron Paul must be right up at the top if you account for independents, democrats, liberatarians, republicans that didn't vote last primary, and everyone that doesn't have a land phone line.
Rasmussen Reports has a new national Presidential Tracking Poll that has Governor Huckabee tied with Rudy Giuliani for 1st place.
Rudy Giuliani 18%
Mike Huckabee 18%
John McCain 14%
Fred Thompson 13%
Mitt Romney 12%
Ron Paul 7%

Ron Paul only goes up
Funny how Ghouliani, Hockalougee, and McThompson seems to go up and down in the polls so easily, but Ron Paul's 7-8% stays firm. I think if more people understood his positions, he could expand to more very loyal followers.
Am i the only one who thinks we're being played?
This ass Huckabee barely pulls off a million in fundraising last quarter and suddenly he's the greatest thing since ready-whip! I don't mean to sound too conspiritorial but this is just to bizzare for words.Does this have anything to do with Hucks little trip to the CFR? Are the american people really so naive they believe this guys holier than thou tom-foolery?
Somebody please help me out. I don't trust this guy and I trust the lame-ass media even less.
I don't know that it is a conspiracy...
Look at it this way. The media is always competing for viewership. Once media went on the world wide web, cable news outlets became more popular, and partisan-free reporting went out the window. Media outlets had to do things to get people's attention because they are funded by sponsors.
Julie Annie is not appealing to anyone but Fox viewers. Romney has a lot of skeletons. Huckabee appeals to the christians. He isn't great but he isn't as polarizing and abrasive as some others. Publically it hasn't been displayed how he tells half truths. The media has to get behind people they haven't talked about yet. Then they call the same people that watch their stupid shows all the time and call them and ask them who they want to win.
They have been covering this election since January of this year. Fresh blood is important.
You can't get too caught up in the poll stuff. It is well known they aren't too accurate to RP's demographic.
I hate to say it, but sooner or later something bad is going to happen in this country and then the media will say "why didn't anyone stop this?!"
And we will say, "Because you ignored the message of Ron Paul."
Obviously I hope this doesn't happen, but I think we all know we are doomed for some catastrophie if any one of these goons makes it into the white house. Thus, we keep fighting and spreading the word. the movement will take many many years, and this is just the beginning.
"Make fun buddy..." - Ron Paul
Proof the "polls" are inaccurate
Mike H. being high in the polls after being no where just shows how inaccurate these polls and the methods used are. The only real "poll" is number of real supporters. Who wins that poll hands down?

Just replace Huckabee with Ron Paul and ...
it would be right. People, please don't believe these polls!

This is a good sign
When the front runner is DOWN to 18% this race is wide open. We all know that many RP voters aren't included. The polls have no way of taking that into account. I welcome the attention to Huckabee because nobody gave him a shot to be a "top tier candidate" That is the same thing they said about Ron Paul. Ron Paul is only 12% from being in the lead! He continues to go up among the republican voters who have been voting in the primaries. This is a good thing.
1/3 of Ghouliani's support
1/3 of Ghouliani's support is really undecided leaners.
Ghouliani is really only polling at 12%.
Ron Paul can win.
Half the voters are still undecided.
A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for James Madison.
Drudge on Huckabee: Paroled Rapist Could Haunt Huckabee...
The link won't work for me, it goes to CBS news and then fails. Anyway, this is what I've been saying about Huckabee for some time now. The MSM and especially Faux News pushed Huckabee to hurt Romney and help Giuliani, knowing they had this story in their back pocket whenever Hucky got too strong.
(In case you're unaware of the story, the Huckabee-paroled rapist murdered someone 11 months after the parole. You think that could haunt hucky? Yeah, I thought so.)

You want it to come down to RP and Huck
The biggest tax hiker in history against the man who never taxed anything.
I like our chances. RP was about one quarter of one percent nationally in March he is 7% now....he has increased his poll 28 times. That is momentum!

What does this really mean?
I love it... the numbers are so close. Think about it... 4% to 5% margin of error means no one has clue who is leading the pack. Period.
Plus, consider they are calling those "likely" Republican voters.
This doesn't include...
The (new) Youth Vote
Cell Phones
Cross-Overs
Disenfranchised
etc...
I really think we have a good shot at this thing.
What we need to do...
1) Get media exposure. (TeaParty07, Blimp, Interviews, Newspaper Ads, TV/Radio Commercials)
2) Talk with neighbors (door to door), friends, and family
3) Turn out to Rallies
4) Vote and become Delegates (The two most important things)
5) Celebrate
Online polls, negativity, and other "gimmicks" aren't going to do anything for us at this point. We have to concentrate all of our collective energy on the above items. Let's no be divided, or go off on tangents. Let's not try to make ourselves famous through the campaign. Its time to step up, do the work, get it done, and take our lives back!

I think that two days before
I think that two days before Iowa caucus there will be 6 persons with almost equal 15% support :>
Way inaccurate...
Thompson's numbers are WAY WAY lower than being represented and I think John McCain's (judging by his fundraising) is way down too. My guess is Romney is going to throw in the towel after losing Iowa.
Guiliani will come to find he really is tired of RP supports harassing him all the time and give up.
The problem is, when these other candidates drop off, their support may go to Huckabee.
Nobody is really attacking Huckabee.. I think he's the new chosen one to defeat Paul.

Good!
The tighter the front runner race, the better for us. We KNOW that they are not taking RP's supporters, but they're just trading back and forth the pro-war, compassionate conservative (neo-con liberal) vote.
5% of people make things happen
10% of people watch things happen
85% say "What happened?"
Not for long
He's too preachy,too much of a phoney.
But that man should play the tyrant over God, and find Him a better man than himself, is astonishing drama indeed!~~D. Sayers
There is no difference between an authoritarian government from the right or the left...F. A.Schaeffer
yeah, he is a phoney
a lot of people I talk to who are fans for RP are turning onto huck. But I try to explain to them that he's all talk and he's just pulling at people heart strings and emotion. he has no real plan, except to continue our current path to economic collapse. his fair tax is just political talk that will never happen, and if it does, it will just be another tax, different name. I think RP is going to shock the country when all all the democrat converts, independents, and republican who haven't voted in a while all go for RP. These people aren't getting polled.
I love ron paul!
maybe RP isn't preachy enough
i encouraged Dr. Paul to use more Bible rhetoric to beat Huckabee at his own game.
This is proof
That the pollsters and the media are one in the same.
Liberty and Freedom are a beacon; not a bullet.
a good indication that polls are ridiculous
they keep changing.
Wouldn't it be funny if it
came down to Ron and Huckabee ?
As long...
as Ron Paul came out on top I would be fine with it.
