NYC Supporters at the "Crossroads of the World” this afternoon

My meetup group is heading to Times Square this afternoon to spread the Ron Paul Pro-Freedom message. And you can watch them “Live” in Times Square, Saturday August 4th, 2007 at 4 p.m. (EST).
This is also going to be an experiment. I had a great idea about utilizing the Times Square Earth Cam. Let's see if it works.

Make sure you select Cam2. They should be gathering around 4 p.m. EST. In case anyone wants to stop by and check it out.

There are lots of earth cams throughout the US, maybe we can get some use out of them. I hope to see some of you when I arrive in Iowa on the 8th. All the best!

UPDATE: 4:11 p.m.
I just spoke with Mitch on the phone and he told me that our group wasn't allowed to hold up signs in our designated location. There seems to be some stupid NYC law that forbids signs in certain areas in Times Square. I'm sure Mitch will fill us in on it later. Sorry folks. New York City is a Police State. Odd though, that the City will allow a man wearing only white underwear, a white cowboy hat and white boots with a white guitar to stand in that area without any problem.

Make a Wave

Why not make a wave like people do in stadiums?

Instead of using colored placards, ask participants to wear old white T-shirts, and use red and/or blue paint to stencil Ron Paul's name on them; one letter per shirt. Optionally, you could use red paint to stencil the word, r3VOLution on a series of shirts.

The wave might be implemented with people first facing one way and then the other; front to traffic and then back to traffic. This would be similar to those segmented, louvered billboard signs that change every 30 seconds to expose another message; it would be a human louvered billboard. ;)

In general, taking advantage of existing public cameras seems like a great way to expose your message to the whole world, since most of these cameras can be viewed on the web.

Well since the police will

Well since the police will let a guy in underware stay out on the street maybe instead of carrying signs down there you all wear shirts that make a human sign! Or just wear a whole bunch of Ron Paul clothing and become a human hand out or sign! I'm sure that will get attention and you won't be holding up signs!! I'm sure some people could even get on the shoulders of others! Now that would be awesome!

This Should Be Fun

This should be fun to watch! Let's see what you guys have planned.
