This is almost a mockery. Here California's on fire, Michigan looks like the futile system, the banks are imploding, the dollar is collapsing, trillions in debt on foreign wars and we get this.........

I think the best reason not to pay a tax is if you don't owe it
in the first place.
People who keep using the phrase "my taxes" or "your taxes" really are getting to me. I understand why you do it. I understand it is so ubiquitous most people don't even think about it. But taking ownership of something that doesn't even apply to you just seems silly and self defeating to me.
It's sort of like saying "my diabetes." It isn't "yours", and you don't own it. Perhaps if people instead said, "my inability to exercise self discipline when deciding what to eat" or "my refusal to pay attention to what I put in my body" or "my abject laziness" or "my ignorance of balanced nutrition" etcetera then they might actually overcome their problems and no longer have diabetic conditions to contend with.
Same goes for taxes. Except in this case, people are taking "ownership" of taxes that aren't even imposed on them. They do so out of ignorance and habit. Mostly, because "everyone else is doing it" and "every just KNOWS that we all owe it." Of course, if anyone stops to actually try to understand the law that supposedly makes us liable, they can't comprehend the fact that it doesn't, and so they declare it as requiring a lawyer to prove it to them. (the fact that they really don't owe it is just too much to admit, so they have to pay someone lots of money to convince them of something that isn't true.)

OK under your argument what if - someone goes out to get a job to pay their mortgage and their employer asks them to sign the w-2 form employers have their new employees sign. Then you fill out the form and sign it. Come year end - they send you a w-2 and you file it in the drawer. Then the big bad agency sends you an audit notice-then you don't reply. Then you are threatened with liens, levy and jail. (Speaking of jail - didn't some woman just get 35 years for not filing) So how does this scenario play out with you?

Where are the pictures from the water hunt? The news mentioned it, but no photos of it. How come we see the pictures of Mars, but not of the bombing of the moon? Who cares if there is water there? Spend that moon money on purifying the ocean water.

Better spent money
Money spent on scientific endeavors are much better spent then many other things our tax dollars go towards. Science has given mankind sooo much. I would gladly pay taxes to support this type of research, however I agree strongly that spending our money being the worlds police force is way wrong...

that when you stop paying taxes: you cut off the head of the beast. Every dime of illegal income taxes goes to paying the interest on the 10 trillion dollar debt that is owed to the federal reserve corporation. Not one dime goes to defense, roads, schools, medicare, or anything else relating to the infrastructure of this nation. I know the gutless will respond by saying "you go ahead, see you in jail, etc" To you folks I say "blow me".
