I have been through a couple of hurricanes, tape and water were the first things to run out. ( Tape an x on the window so if it breaks, it doesn't shatter everywhere.)

last year with hurricane Ike, I can agree with much on the list.
Man, was that an eye-opener.
One thing we had that made it bearable were these O2 Cool battery/ac operated fans:

they run about 10 hours on one pack of batts.

They sell them at "wallyworld".

Anyone know why the cans of tuna on the list states "in oil"?
Do they have a longer shelf life than those packed in water?

There is a three day supply of food in each city.

If supply lines are cut there is no food. I recall during a truckers strike a few years back that all food runs out in one day at grocery stores. The public acquires "prisoners delima" and acts contrary to their own welfare and interests. They grab everything in sight even if there is assurance that there will be more tomorrow. U.S. citizens traditionally are cowardly and turn on each other quite quickly. They will take Federal Reserve Notes instead of United States of America gold and silver dollar. They will incoculate their children with mercury and bird guano to keep them in them in the public fool system. They will do as they are programmed, including turning you and your family over to Obama's Nazis.

Glad fire extinguishers are on the list

Make sure, that if you are storing fuel. That you do it safely.
And that you familiar with the use of Extinguishers.
Baking soda is on the list too. Very versatile.

One thing we got caught short on was oil for the generator. Had all kinds of gas !
