16th Amendment - IRS Taxes - News to Me

I have been coming to the DP for over a year and I never heard about this until the other day…
The 16th Amendment that allows the IRS to exist and tax our labor may not have been properly ratified.
This One Pager points out why the ratification is in serious question…

The ironic thing
Is President Taft's role in the creation of the 16th Amendment. He is often blamed for the income tax but in reality he was opposed to it. Progressives in both parties of Congress were pushing an income tax bill through without amending the Constitution. President Taft pushed for the Amendment because it would stop the income tax bill by showing the glaring illegality of it. He summised that the Amendment would never be ratified by the States, and he was right. His one failing was in not realizing how dismissive the majority of politicians are about all laws. Taft was the one bright light in an Age of progressivism.

You have to read "cracking the code" it will piss You off when You really learn the truth...
As far as the constitution goes there is only two types of taxes. There is indirect taxes " toll roads & sales taxes" & then there is direct taxes. The indirect taxes can be avoided because You don't have to purchase goods at a store or drive on the toll road. Direct taxes are supposed to be apportioned amongst the states meaning everyone must pay the same amount no matter how much You make. The reason they wanted direct taxes that way is because they didn't want a welfare class to continue voting themselves money at the expense of the minority. As far as the constitution their is only one income tax and that is to be levied on people with government privilege. We do not get our income from the government so We don't have government privilege hense We are not tax payers as per the constitution. Ron Paul knows this full well and even mentioned it during the primaries but once again no one gave him time to explain it.

Tactical Question for a Ron Paul Presidential Campaign.
Details like the legality of the 16th Amendment are well known to Dr. Paul but if he makes them a centerpiece of a campaign then he would be seen as a kook by more than just the MSM. I would prefer that he not go into details like this until after he is elected president. I know many on the DP would prefer to always take the intellectual or moral high ground and beat these issues into the minds of the sheeple, but I would rather get him elected first.
I have only started to realize this with myself recently so that is why I think it is great for Dr. Paul to concentrate on the Fed first and let the other stuff fall to the side.

I just saw Arron Russos America: Freedom to Fascism for the first time 2 days ago and it woke me up to this detail.
I highly recommend watching it on You Tube - Google Video. It took a little searching but you can watch the official directors cut of America: Freedom to Fascism online.
If anyone has not seen the Arron Russo film America: Freedom to Fascism then I would recommend it as great background and required viewing. (I learned something new watching it - you might too.)
