MSNBC's Ed Schultz smears Peter Schiff with half of Schiff quote

0 votes

Ed Schultz just smeared Peter Schiff by quoting just a small piece of his Washington Post interview. Below is what Schultz said to his viewers and below that is the rest of Schiffs answer during the interview.

"I'm interrupting my career. It's not like I want my new career in politics. But I'm willing to interrupt it the same way that somebody interrupted their career and joined World War II and went off to fight the Nazis."

"I don't think that I'm that heroic, and I don't think I'm risking as much as a soldier. But it's the same principle."

Did I miss something?

How is that quote a smear on Schiff?

But I do see how leaving off the last part does skew the quote a bit. Even without it, the quote still has nothing wrong with it. Schiff never made any connection to Democrats and Nazis. Ed did that. Schiff was obviously talking about going to battle against something that is wrong on its face and that is destroying liberty. I doubt Schiff cares what party someone belongs to, if they are an enemy of liberty and they want intrusive government, I would think Schiff will be against them.

Oh gee, here we go again

What spin on that one. Reminds me of the good-ol-days of the Doctor running and how Fox News would swing at him.

LOL!

Yeah, Ed Schultz is pathetic.

Ed and O'donnel are the

Ed and O'donnel are the height of intellectual dishonesty, as well as the good old fashioned kind.

I have to admit, when I read Schiff's article awhile ago, that particular quote rubbed me the wrong way, but I knew Schiff would qualify it, and that he clearly did. To not see this or report it is willful ignorance and first class smear. Not only that Schiff was probably talking as much about the republicans as he was the democrats. I've never seen anyone like them who try so hard to be offended and to be the victim. Fox tries their best, but these turkies take the cake. Quite possibly the lowest dregs of the msm.

The Democrats have found

The Democrats have found their Rush Limbaugh in Ed Schultz.

Evil is in the eye of the

Evil is in the eye of the beholder. Only Ed percieved the Democrats as Nazis. When I saw what Schiff said I percieved it to mean that he was temporarily exiting his lucrative finance career to enter the cesspools of DC to fight the corruption and evil that lurks there on both sides of the aisle and in the hallways. Ed's an idiot and his producers need an emailbox full of condemnation for putting this dunce on the air.

Let's boycott his sponsors.

Let's boycott his sponsors. We need to have this video clip and schiff's actual quote and let them know we will no longer buy their products if they are going to sponsor a liar.

Yeah. That'll teach him not to misquote people.

In fact, let's protest them and write letters. We trust people like Orly Taitz but want to hold TV people to high standards. It's funny. I'm just surrounded.

Nothing directly. It's merely an observation.

It's just that people are very accepting of bs and half-truths when it suits their interest and then act high and mighty when someone not aligned with them does the same thing. I find it funny.

I second that.

I second that.

Remember Daily Paul

I just emailed Ed about this. But remember name-calling Ed won't get us anywhere and in fact it is counterproductive. Send him a firm message disapproving and show him why you believe he took it out of context. That way is much more beneficial.

Ed Schultz

is an evil man. I saw how dangerous this MSNBC propagandist is right away.

He said/she said. Such a fun game. It's at a good dumb level

that we can all understand. And it is like a reality tv show--we all love them. Let's demand an apology! That way things will improve.

Ed Schultz couldn't create his own news if he tried

Schultz has to parse peoples quotes so it distorts the actual meaning. He's totally worthless.
