Active Military & Veterans For Ron Paul
Submitted by MashTheGas on Tue, 12/04/2007 - 14:24
I thought I would start a military thread here and find out how many Military folks we have passing through the Daily Paul site. Use your own discretion on the info you might like to post, a little or a lot, it's up to you. I'd appreciate this thread be kept open to military posts only.
I'm a US Army DAV. Served '76 to '79, Honorable discharge,
Served as a Tanker at Fort Knox, KY, Fort Hood, TX and Germany. I have 20 year old nephew who will be packing out to Iraq in January. I am 100% for a troop pull out ASAP and an end to this misled and illegal war. I voted for Bush twice, I still live with that guilt. I believed the bs and bought into the fear. I'm proud to have served my country.

AD x7 years, SWORN TO SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES AGAINST ALL ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC. I always voted Libertarian until this year, now I pray each day for a Ron Paul victory to save this land and the Constitution I love so much.

I dont know anybody who says "let us win." McCain is a sad case, being tortured does not automatically qualify you to be president and should actually make you "section 8" suspect. Ron Paul is the only person I will vote for. "What do we have to do to just save face." We have no money. Marines are barely getting the training they need. We are given tasks we are not trained for.
active duty
im about to approach 6 years of active duty in the seabees...ive done 2 tours in iraq and i am more than proud..probably more than ive ever been..to be a part of this revolution!!! RON PAUL '08

I've been aware of Dr. Paul for at least 10 years, I always felt he was one of a very few Congressmen worthy of holding the office. Very simple really, starting with the Oath of Office and honoring The Constitution. In doing so he not only honors all veterans... he honors all americans

Thank you for posting this article. I have forwarded to many others.
I encourage all of you to read this. Read some of the links too, it'll get your attention.
Not many articles get me in the gut like these did. If more Americans and these warmongering politicians had to look full into the face of a war, they wouldn't be so fast to rush in.
How many of their loved ones are over there?

I have been following Ron Paul for 10 years now. I took the oath to support and defend the constitution 6 times at each reenlistment. I still stand by it today, because if I don't, who will?
Vets and Active Duty -- Show your support!
If you are a veteran or currently serving in the military and you support Ron Paul, please take a moment to sign up with the Ron Paul Military Meetup group.
http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1040/
Vets from across the country are joining this group just to show support in numbers.
Right now we have about 180 members, but it is estimated there are hundreds, if not thousands of veterans among Ron Paul's grass roots supporters.
Please take a moment to visit the Meetup and fill out a quick form. It only takes a second and we'd love to have you.
Thanks.

1 minute - Ron Paul Military Commercial – Endorsement approach
This is a script to demonstrate Ron Paul's support for our military and veterans and their support of him. Any thoughts on this?
Introduction
Scene 1 – I am Ron Paul and I am the defender of the Constitution -5 seconds
Scene 2 –MEPS graduates raising right hand swearing in and giving oath to defend the Constitution -20 seconds This is the background, This needs to be the sound of a large group giving the oath. All veterans will remember this day. However, it would be better to get video of the graduation when you have a large group in full uniform.

Military Retiree or Active Duty endorsement
Scene 3 – I am retired Navy Master Chief ___________ _______________and I support Ron Paul Because he supports the constitution
Scene 4 - I am retired Army Colonel ___________ ____________ – I took an oath to defend the constitution. That’s why I support Ron Paul.
Closing Professional voice over
(This scene could possibly be the flag with words or panned photos of Ron Paul in military dress)
With Ron Paul as president our troops will be under American authority as required by the Constitution. Not under command of UN foreigners. Ron Paul proudly served America as a flight surgeon in Vietnam. He supports our veterans, he supports our troops and they support him. Of all Presidential candidates Ron Paul has received the most campaign contributions from active duty personnel for 2 quarters in a row. Sadaam was defeated. We have victory with honor now it is time to come home.
Remember the Oath -Defend the Constitution -Vote Ron Paul
I am Ron Paul and I approve this message……
Kids are so young
Some of those kids look like they are right out of high school. One of them looks like one of my old friends. It's shocking to be honest.
Video was found on you tube
The you tube video was provided to give an example not to include in a commercial. For the commerical it would be good to have footage of a full group in uniform after graduation.

...and a lifetime member of the VFW and AMVETS. Sorry to say I voted twice for King George then I finally got around to reading the Constitution on which we all swore an oath - in it's original intent.
"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Former Sgt. USMC 1965-1969. Viet Vet. What can I say? Voted for Dr. Paul in 1988. Despaired of ever finding any integrity in government again. I'm finding it hard to believe what's happening in this country, and for the first time am finding hope. HOPE! Dang!

Our support of Dr. Paul sends a strong message to the MSM and those who get their Foreign Policy talking points from Neocon Democrats and Republicans. These 'leaders' intend to use never ending wars as an opiate solely to divert the attention of the average American citizen away from the the real problem facing our country: Our eroding constitutional rights. I applaud every one of you who stands up as a veteran to support Dr. Paul. Let everyone know that the military supports Dr. Paul's sane foreign policy.

combat helluvacopter pilot from Viet-Nam on through the Reagan presidency. Been in third world sh!tholes all over the world. Flew in Operation Lam Son 719 and my unit lost 80% of its aircraft in 3 weeks of the operation. And, after all I had been through, I was stopped at a red light outside of Ft. Hood, Tx, and a woman driver plows into the back of my car and I get my neck broken. After 6 months in the hospital, and some surgery, I can get around pretty normally and since the taxpayer is still paying me, I am still bound by that oath to the constitution. Of course, as a man, I am bound by that oath regardless. I find that a duty to the observance of the written law is a rational obligation of a responsible citizen. That because of this, the ultimate enforcer of the limitations of government and the final arbiter of individual liberty is to be found in an aware and informed citizenry. That for this to be true, it is necessary for that citizenry to be possessed of the courage to risk life and limb in defense of that written law and liberty of the individual. And, because Ron Paul supporters believe this, I am a Ron Paul supporter and proud of it.
You took the words out of my mouth
I am in the active Army and I have been telling my battle buddies that a lot. My oath of enlistment was to "...support and defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC...." By voting for Ron Paul and donating money to his campaign, I'm doing exactly that, defending the constitution.
