Senate Passes Huge $636 billion Defense Bill - 93 to 7.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned this one:

Senate passes $636 billion defense spending bill

This is completely outrageous. To put this into perspective, consider that the entire European Union spends $312 billion. The next country on the list is France (I was surprised by this one) at $70.6 billion followed by China at $70.3 billion. Iran spends $6.3 billion -- the biggest threat to our national security! Here is the source for those figures.

In a time when our nation is bankrupt and about to foreclose out of existence, we continue to rack up budgets that defy reason. While the movement to audit the Fed is encouraging, this bill (passed by a vote of 93 to 7) highlights how very far we have to go. Until the congress can learn to live within their means, we will have no hope of every turning the economy of our country around.

It's a good investment

in American piracy. See, we can use that money to wage war with countries that have stuff we want, like oil, natural gas, and poppies. It doesn't matter if America gets wrecked in the process, the multinational corporations are just using America for investment capital and then they take all the profits, sticking us with the bill and killing everyone over there.
