Out of the blue, its the intranasal vaccine, now with live virus!

Never heard much about this new intranasal vaccine. The stories have changed so much about the vaccinations, first it is 3 shots, then it is 2 then children need to get 4....
Then, out of the blue, this intranasal vaccination is the first to arrive. From what I have heard, along with searching the web, it has a LIVE virus that is sprayed up the nose. This LIVE VIRUS is then shed by the vaccinated host and spread to everyone who comes into contact with them. What a fantastic way to spread a disease and cause a spike in the numbers scaring people to go get their shots.

Not out of the blue
Live vaccines are old hat. Going back to the old polio vaccines - Salk vs. Sabin.
Flumist has been around for a number of years. In a way, the live vaccine is better, since it never has had adjuvants or mercury, although the present crop of killed injectable vaccines also has no adjuvants or mercury. But the protection from a live vaccine is not as good as from killed vaccine in older people who have been infected in the past with related swine flu viruses from the 70s and who may not mount a good immune response to the attenuated virus.

Especially pay attention to this sentence:

This is why everyone is worried about this new strain of virus. A lot of people are reassured by the fact that so far, the new strain appears to be mild. But this may change.
