Charlie Rangel retains gavel

It must be some kind of technical language on why Dr Paul had to do what he did. I'm sure Dr Paul is not pleased one bit about Rangel's activities.

The anti-Rangel votes from two southern Democrats may be seen as minor evidence of mounting pressure on Rangel, whose job remains secure so long as he has the backing of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and the large majority of the Democratic Caucus.

“These votes show that support for the Democratic Leaders’ decision to sweep this matter under the rug is starting to crack,” said Michael Steel, a spokesman for Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio).

Six Republicans sided with Rangel on Wednesday — Reps. Peter King of New York, Tim Murphy of Pennsylvania, Dana Rohrabacher of California, Walter Jones of North Carolina, Don Young of Alaska and Ron Paul of Texas.

my reps about Mr. Rangel's ethics and I guess my rep Travis Childers was listening. I would love to know why Dr Paul voted in favor of Rangle.

Rangel was to resign so NY Gov Patterson could run for his seat giving Cuomo the Ny Governorship. Solving two problems for the Dems. Never doubt the good Dr !!

what worries you? That he votes with the Constitution in mind? I am very glad he does. Which means we are ALL entitled to a FAIR TRIAL...no?

I think you hit the nail right on the head.

Dr Paul respects the Constitution 100% and in America...we are INNONCENT until PROVEN guilty. He probably did hate doing this but that means he would vote the same way for you or me and that is all we can ask for.

If we start skipping due process this time..what is to say next time it won't be one of us? Know what I mean?

That does make sense! Proper procedure is to go thru ethics committee first.
