"Military Stress Eyed as Factor in Shooting" The young man had served an 11 month tour in Iraq, and came home to troubles with a girlfriend. In his distress and anger, he unloaded 10 rounds into the man he felt was responsible and killed him.

of all the topics discussed on DP this one gets me the most.
When I look back at how I was so eager to "get them" and to see where my perspective and beliefs have turned 180 due to RP and the liberty message, I can only think... God forgive me for I knew not what I was doing.

and it seems... if not us ..then who? We need to fill this void and make it a distinguishing issue between us and the neo-cons ( neo cons that are both to the right and left of us!!) I don't want to be morphed into the 912'ers and this is where the rubber hits the road IMO!! Are we going to stand up?

I've been trying my best to pass along information to family and friends, my family is firmly in the "new conservative" column, by that I mean, everything is the Democrats fault. I know where they are coming from, wasn't very long ago I believed the same thing.
It is maddening trying to get people to consider the truth.
How do I stand up LB? Other than speak about these issues to others, how do I make a difference?

This is a quick response and does not include all my thoughts and SHARED FRUSTRATION all of us feel!
Confession:
I have an Obamabot sister, a father 73, dying of kidney cancer who was neocon..but constantly waffles between Ron Paul and his neo-con indoctrination, a lovely daughter who is RonPaul...but too busy too engage much, a husband who is libertarian but is resentful of my level of activism, peers from business that get all views from MSM,...etc..
I have alot to say on how to engage and best to spend your time on helping..but do what you can ..and do it as honestly and passionately as you can!! Recognize when to let go on certain people and be aware of the way you present your input! Think of marketing and sales techniques!
Anyway..just a few thoughts and a rare confession from me! Maybe I will make a thread on this!
Hang in there and don't be discouraged ..no matter what! We need you!

should be watched by all! I watched them last year when they came out! I really wish we could ramp it up and be more invovled /active with the anti-war issues !!
