Obama just got the Nobel Peace Prize and all the reporters in the room gast outloud in shock, just heard it live on CNN. We must acknowledge we have built an empire to maintain, with over 700 military bases in 130 countries. We have an embassy in Iraq the size of Vatican City, Iraq being our latest conquest.
The Soviet Union lost its empire and was brought down after its 8 years in Afghanistan. Afghanistan bankrupted the Soviet Union and the US is now also on the brink of bankruptcy. Afghanistan is the country other countries go to die.
The question now is; How much of our Empire do we wish to preserve and how much of it are we willing to give up? Bankruptcy is inevitable. We now need to start thinking about keeping some of it if any, if we can.
I was SHOCKED to hear...
that the same distinguished body that gave Paul Krugman the Nobel Prize for Economics would stoop to give Obama the Peace Prize!?!?
OK, end of sarcasm.
Children, the fix was in.
The nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize were closed TWO WEEKS after Obama took office.
Obama was still figuring out where the White House restrooms were.
Heck, They probably knew he was going to win this before he won the "election".

The end of the reputation of the worlds "global" institutions we grew up to believe in and respect. In the last few days we have watched the "coming out" of the unmasked & exposed United Nations ( over the war crimes issue ) and now this morally discraceful and intellectually degrading news from Oslo.
So many deserving people who daily strive for peace and harmony on this planet...people who risk their lives and loose their posessions, health and sometimes their whole families in a relentless quest for world peace ... and they include BO within this nobel and distingushed group !!!!!!
