Buy Paul-ladium it's the wise thing to do!
Palladium is a currency, ISO code XPD 964 listed on the currency exchange. In the earth's crust palladium is 1.8 times rarer than gold. Palladium is useful in fuel cell technology and useful for solving environmental problems. Where is the world attention right now? On the environment and where the government is pumping billions of dollars.
In an average year 54,880,000 ounces of gold are produced.
Meaning at today's price it takes $57,733,760,000 dollars to buy up all the gold produced in one year.
In an average year 390,040,000 ounces of silver are produced.
Meaning it would take $6,903,708,000 dollars to buy up all the silver produced in one year.
In an average year 940,800 ounces of palladium are produced.
Meaning it would take $305,760,000 dollars to buy up all the palladium produced in one year.
The number of ounces of palladium produced in a year does not match the number of people who support Ron Paul.
Do you think it would be easier to convince every Ron Paul supporter to buy an ounce of palladium, 390 ounces of silver or 54 ounces of gold?
Question: why is platinum selling for over $1300 an ounce yet very close to gold in terms of availability in the earth's crust? Answer: Because marketing drives up demand.
With concerted efforts to buy palladium, we will increase it's price, causing increased production, which is beneficial, since it is useful in industry. At the same time it's price relative to gold will sky rocket, at which point it can be traded for gold and spent on the market. This will in effect give the R3volution more power to influence events.
As we all know, money has no real value unless it is spent.

Rhodium?
What do you think about Rhodium? Rhodium was over $10,000 per ounce around a year ago and is now around $2k.
Palladium does sound good...
...
Not familiar with Rhodium.
Haven't really studied it that much, would be interested in knowing what drove the price to $10,0000 per ounce though.
It appears to have dropped 5 times according to your figures from a year ago. Palladium in July was selling for $180 an ounce and today is around $340. I figure if demand was stimulated by a concerted buying effort that the price of palladium could easily top $1800 an ounce while gold remains in the $1000 an ounce territory. Of course if the price of gold goes up relative to the dollar then the price of palladium could be stimulated to go up as well.

Canada currently mints 1 troy ounce .999 palladium Maple Leafs
They have the usual leaf on the reverse and QEII's mug on the obverse. They have a $50 face value. (in loonies that is)
They are not legal tender in the U.S. since they are a foreign coin and there is a law specifically denying foreign coin legal tender status.
Real Value.
Isn't that one point Ron Paul makes? To get rid of legal tender status and allow for competing currencies?

at complete war with my husband over how to invest!
we are sitting on our own little nest egg (and trust that it is small) but I am trying to figure out how to get out of the usd and looking at gold. He doesn't get what I'm talking about and wants nothing to do with gold, silver or anything else in fact he wants to take half and buy a used Harley (even though he has one in the garage) he wants a better one. I'am fine with that if that's what he wants to do with lets call it his half. but he refuses to look at where the dollar is heading and spends endless hours looking at bikes each night. For several months now while I cook dinner he looks on craigs list etc at bikes. Can't get him to look at any info on the dollar. Feel so alone in this venture.

You must remember that all these chemicals effect our behavior and personality. Legitimate thinking also goes the wayside if given enough time. I would take the time to buy some quality Omega3's preferably with a high DHA content. I would recommend http://www.StandardProcess.com They only sell to qualified physicians so you have to work with your doctor. If you choose to self educate, as I did, then you can start by researching the industrial process of the supplements and weather they used synthetic stuff or not.
For example. Vitamin C. Vit c is absorbic acid but there is also a slew of other types of vit c. At the end of the day you want to ingest Whole Food Supplements. Quality and price really does make a difference in the end result. Whats the use of supplementing if your not going to get the full effect of it. Don't skimp on the brands, a lot of them are contaminated, in improper forms with low bio-availability. If you get him on a good multi vitamin anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month he will begin to notice a difference.
The supplements, which used to be available in the food we eat, will revive the clarity of mind and allow more logical and peaceful thinking.

what to buy?
what is better to buy. A .999 1 troy oz fine silver round bullion or an actual US mint silver dollar with less silver content? I really like the uss constitution rounds. Wouldn't they be worth more? for the same price.
Logic.
It all depends on if you can get people to accept it and trade with it.

Paul-Lad-I-Am
I think that with a concerted effort we can drive the price of palladium up, stimulating it's production, which in the long run is good because it is a necessary product for industry. Besides it promotes Ron Paul. Paul-lad-I-AM.

Sold me
You convinced me. I am not big on PM investment (I am more interested in tooling up for a backup job when my paper-pushing job evaporates) but I bought some Paul-ladium. Not much, but some.
Glad to have you aboard.
Of course tooling up is more important than storing wealth. I think we can sell this idea, make a little profit and promote the R3volution. Just trying to think outside of the box.

CNN is pushing the dollar, downing metals.
We will have to see what happens next week if countries continue to dump the dollar.
I was doing my part, but I couldn't hold out.
I had 50 ounces of the stuff at one point. But the price kept dropping or stayed flat and I needed the cash. So I held onto gold and silver and got out of palladium. Then it went to $500+ an ounce. Geez. It's lower now, below where I bought it, but now I don't have cash to get back in. Oh well. I tried.

What ever happened to the proposed US palladium coin.
Never heard of such a thing
do you have a source? I'm curious.
It is a very hard metal to strike. Maybe the mint couldn't get a quality product out of it so they dropped the project?
when Gold and silver sold
when Gold and silver sold off about a year and a half ago silver went from 21 to 8.. silver now sits at 17.80 silver is up over 100% what is the percentage gain for palladium? I rest my case....

In June Palladium was selling for $180, today it is selling for $325. It has done better than gold or silver in this short time. But the important thing to remember is that it is a PM and a currency held by central banks around the world. It just isn't as well known. It is much rarer than gold and has practical industrial use, especially for fuel cell technology which is receiving government money at the moment.

I don't get it
When you say "I rest my case" what do you mean? I'm not understanding if your post is a thumbs-up or thumbs-down for palladium.
silver is used in more ..
silver is used in more .. way more applications then palladium. palladium is mostly used in car catelytic converters.. silver has the largest naked short position in history.. this includes every other commodity on the face of the planet. it will be much easier for silver to double in price then palladium.. silver has always been used as money.. in my view or my opinion you will get much more bang for the buck when you buy silver...
the way I see palladium going higher is if the the russians refuse to sell it.
palladium has hit an all time high of about 1300.00??? that was because ford motor co started buying because they thought there would be a shortage.. I just feel this is the way to go.. silver has much more potential.. altho Grant is correct... it may be good to have all the metals.. you never know..

Thanks...
You prove my point! One company, Ford motor company, drove the price of palladium above $1300 dollars. How much more could palladium be pushed upward if the efforts of the R3volution were put behind it? Being dependent on Russia for the metal is another good reason to stand behind it, if Russia was to refuse to sell it to the U.S. we would be there to provide for the market. Of course keep some gold and silver, but don't forget to diversify your basket of metals. Gold can easily be manipulated by news media and the massive stores of gold held around the world. Palladium has a much more restricted market. You can't get it as easily as gold. Try, and you will see.
Silver is a great metal. And I have nothing against gold as money, I try to spend it whenever someone is willing to accept it or receive it whenever someone is wanting to trade with it. Palladium is another option, that is my only point. It has obviously a very short history when compared to gold and silver, being that it was only discovered in the early 19th century. But it has and is being studied more and more and there are many technological uses for it.
