Glenn Beck promotes H1N1 vaccines, VeriChip

Some of us were interested in discussing this the other day; haven't seen it on any threads yet so I made my own.

About the vaccine:

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=da0S7gRHwNU
Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otCSAeTyDR0&feature=related

He says pandemics are real and he's made his decision to "protect his family," which essentially means he's pro-vaccine. He goes into fear-mongering about the flu pandemic of 1918. He says there were no vaccines for the Spanish flu of 1918 and speculates, "How many lives could have been saved?" This kind of blabbering is part of the reason I just don't like Glenn Beck. I actually wrote to him about this issue: me@glennbeck.com

Because as you may know, vaccinations have been blamed for the deadliness of that flu.
http://www.whale.to/vaccine/sf1.html

(EDIT: Originally I thought those vaccines were for the flu but I was corrected, they were for other diseases. The vaccine-related deaths counted as flu deaths, as I understand it now. Keep correcting me if I'm wrong, thank you!)

Then he goes on with the groundless assertion that our vaccines are *better* now than they were in 1976, when the last swine flu surfaced, because the technology is better. I doubt anyone actually believes that.

One of the doctors says the simple math shows you're more likely to benefit from the vaccine than be harmed by it. The other says that his patients who got the regular flu shot ended up with chronic fatigue symptom from thimerosal. He also mentions the possibility for a side effect similar to Gulf War Syndrome. But Beck intervened with french fries when the debate got interesting.

About VeriChip:

He gives them a rave review for Alzheimer's patients, which is tantamount to a blessing and shoe-in.

"It's a wonderful idea for people with Alzheimer's....bad if Hitler has the technology....it could be helpful or very, very scary stuff. You have to know that the technology exists, but at this time there is no connection to the swine flu or any government contracts....Truth is, it's not being injected, but it exists....stay vigilant."

Beck's buzzword is Vigilance.

Any thoughts?

It's the half truths that are the worst!

The is what makes propaganda so powerful- the fact that it is partially truthful. Then you can get people fighting about it, one person fighting about the factual part, and the other fighting about the non-factual part, and no real mutually-agreed analysis will be accomplished.

Another dis-info spree. Half-truths and ommissions. Satan's boy.

Beck squanders his time and the time of his viewers on bullshit. He could have had two real experts on and done the contrast in 10 minutes.

He's more of a distraction than a real truth seeker who knows where to aim his resources. He's a counterfeit.

It sucks that this is as close we can come in America, the land of the free to an honest portrayal of what's really happening.

He never mentioned the billions of dollars in deals to big pharma or the government's protection order for vaccine manufacturers and vendors regardless of it's effect on patients.
Stupid drama queeen.

"GINO" = Government In Name Only

is there a third part to this?

"Human beings with love and compassion are some of the most beautiful creatures in the universe... Those without are a plague on us all."

Sorry

I fixed the links...to continue from the part 2 that I posted earlier, go to part 2, 7:00 mark.

Did he mention

The two Congressmen who voted against the swine flu bill in 76'?

Just A Coincidence

Modern medicine has no explanation for autism, despite its continued rise in prevalence. Yet autism is not reported among Amish children who go unvaccinated.

Lengthy Article by Dr. Andrew Moulden

Please note that he has now gone into politics because (paraphrased) a sick country needs a doctor. We can relate to that......Dr. Paul!

Alpacas - IT'S DOABLE

FYI

Here is a list of statements he has made on the vaccine, since you seem to be pretty interested:
http://mediamatters.org/research/200910070043

He may have come off as pro-vaccine on the show but overall he is very skeptical.

I think he's pretty good at manipulation

On this show he managed to look like he was faithfully representing the concerns of the anti-vaccine camp, while not REALLY doing us justice. Simultaneously he was giving vaccines more credit than they deserve.

Some of the quotes from the link you sent are pretty good- "I'd do the opposite of what DHS tells me to do" is undeniably a good line.

Bump

I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees...

Watched the whole show

Thanks for the DP links!

In the end, he said "I do not trust the government in the times we live in".
Who is telling the people to get the jab? The government!

He was going to avoid the direct question, to save his fat paycheck. He and his wife use "prayer" to decide. That is bullshit of course, but that was a shout out the the viewers that understand religious exemption.

He let the pro forces talk, but discredited them every chance he got, holding up "Doctor recommended cigarette ads" to illustrate the wholesale corruption of the medical industry by money in the past. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to see through that.

If I was a Big Pharma exec, I would NOT be happy about Beck's show on H1N "Facts".

Don't get me wrong, he's a CFR Judas goat, but I do not think he made a case for the H1N1 vac, not this time anyway.

With all due respect

I think he said more in favor of getting the vaccines than not, and participated in fear-mongering propaganda. Just because he raised the exact same kind of objections and concerns that you see in the "FAQ" section of the CDC homepage doesn't mean he really investigated their safety. He didn't mention squalene, or the astronomcal side effect rates that were reported in the trials. Watching that show, I'd have no idea, from Beck, of what specifically might happen to me if I took the shot. I think more people are swayed by his example and getting the shot himself.

And he did tell that gratuitous lie about how a vaccine in 1918 would have saved countless lives, in order to promote vaccines in general.

And we are surprised because?????

Actually, and ironically, the dreaded Rush Limbaugh vowed NOT to get the vaccine the other day and it created quite a stir. He was saying this as a reaction to "the government telling us what to do" and not out of ANY knowledge of the medical reasons not to take it. BUT.... he has 20 million "normal people" who listen to him, so I see it as a PLUS that he might have affected this effort so much...... even if he did it inadvertently.

Gotta take the good stuff wherever it comes, I guess.

I would suggest

that Rush's reasoning is quite sound. Why would something have to be forced if it were of benefit? He doesn't have the science to make a decision any other way. I know I don't.

Sorry to self-bump

but I thought people wanted to know the outcome of this show.
