B.S. Hannity calls himself a libertarian on air

0 votes

I yelled at the radio saying 'BULLS**T!'

I find it so funny how these clowns like Beck and Hannity both now are trying to pretend they are libertarians.

Remember it was Hannity/Beck/Limbaugh who would always say "Ron Paul, you mean Ron Paul the libertarian" like it was a bad thing.

This is a planned operation on Faux News. I'm so sick of this B.S. and the public is not picking up on much of it. There isn't a worse warmonger and Bush lover than Hannity. His blind allegiance to the Republican party is obvious to even the occasional listener.

I hope some of you get on his forums and blast this fascist neocon.

they have agents in every movement

This is a very cunning strategy. if you want to destroy a movement u infiltrate, change it and destroy it from within. medea benjamin ( personally really shocked but true she is a neocon) & keith olberman is the same as beck and hannity.

Please shut off the radio

after a few days you will feel much better and start being being able to think for yourself.

God gave you the ability to think for yourself.

Hannity does NOT want you to think for yourself.

What does this say about him?

Honestly, what does it say?

Unify

I pretty much do turn it off now

and listen to christian or hard rock music =)

I just turned it on the other day for a few minutes and could not believe what i heard.

"How can we justify to the unemployed and underemployed in the United States the incredible cost of maintaining a global empire?" - Dr. Ron Paul

He has claimed this for a long time

This isn't anything new, he's stated this ever since I've heard of his show about 5 years ago. Libertarian he definitely is not though.

I agree though, with the suspicion surrounding his and Limbaugh's sudden interest in the Constitution. Where was this interest when Bush and Congress rammed through the unPatriot Act? Or started two unconstitutional wars? Etc. Phonies.

Me? Stick Up for Hannity?

I NEVER thought I'd stick up for Sean, but I think the author of this thread wasn't completely honest.

I was driving back from the airport yesterday afternoon when I heard Hannity make the "Libertarian" comment. It was in the context of his beliefs concerning Gays: It's nobody's business, especially government's.

He stated that in this respect he was more Libertarian, but quickly said that he considers himself an overall "Reagan Conservative".

...Ain't that right?

Yes, I think you are right

But what his listeners heard was "I am libertarian..." That was so shocking, the rest was lost. He corrected it again himself the next day and told his listening audience to "pay attention." hehehe I can't believe I caught him both days, but frankly, I didn't even remember the gay part, only the libertarian part. But today's Obama shock definitely overshadows Hannity.

Funny...

... 'cause I was surprised to be listening to him at that time, too! It's where the radio station was tuned, and I was finding him amusing. Almost needless to say, I'm not listening to him now. It was a real fluke!

I just didn't want people thinking that Hannity was now bragging about being a Libertarian.

And, incidentally, I also screamed out: "WTF!" when I first heard him mention the dreaded "L-Word", but I at least waited for him to explain!

Sean knows he can't fool anybody with the L-Word.

what difference does that make

no offense. Liberty isn't a cafeteria item you can pick and choose, today I'll have a helping of liberty for the gays but I'll pass on the liberty for abortion. Oh and give me a small portion unconstitutional war and I've heard that economic liberty is quite good, let me try some of that.

That's not liberty folks, that's totalitarianism; you're governed by the whims of the ruling regime. I say it's time to remove the regime and replace it with ...nothing, save liberty for all.

I say

you are right. Replace it with liberty for all.

Secede.

i second that motion.

What are you guys doing listening to his program?

Still not defending him...

but sometimes it's good to know what your enemies are up to. Especially the influential ones. I didn't say I was on my way to buy-up all the products he was hawking on his show!.

Why are posting on this forum, anyway? - I bet the answer to your question and to mine are similar.

I just dry heaved when I read that

Yuck. The taste reminds me of my opinion of Hannity.

Reminds me of the primaries

When all the other candidates began to steal parts of Ron Paul's message to try and steal his support.

I used to listen to hannity ona daily basis

Now the guy makes me puke. I used to stay up until midnight on school nights to watch limbaugh when he had a tv show. Now I take everything these guys say.. and consider if the opposite is true and it usually is.

It was awesome when RP called hannity a neo-con and hannity repeated it; "neo-con" with finger quotes and everything.lol

When I was a Sophomore in high school back in 2002

I liked one of his books so much I gave it to my Dad to read. After Hannity publicly attacked Ron Paul and called his "looney" supporters spammers, I asked my Dad for the book back and then burned it.

without a public admission of folly and confession of force peddling in the past.

Until these individuals do that, they remain neo-cons who are simply muddying the name of liberty.

Ugh......

I had to log in to comment on this. I too yell at the radio when this RNC talking-point toolbag tries to "borrow" from the Liberty movement. Do you guys remember Hannity talking about the Constitution, freedom and liberty, during the campaigns or primaries? No. Its hilarious and alarming the rate at which these demagogues are cozying up to the freedom message. They're all born-again Constitutionalists now. And the sad thing is their listeners think THEY'RE real patriots, that they have always been like this...I hear them say what Ron Paul says, I hear them claim "they predicted the financial mess" albeit, only a year or two ago...they never once mention the man or give him a shred of credit for anything and im just tired of it. Then they go off about how great Sarah Palin is, and what a great economist she is talking about how were printing too much money on her facebook page.....Its enough to drive you to alcoholism..

Muddying the waters

This is like operation mockingbird or something. Soon everyone will think libertarian=neocon.
