Nobel peace prize
I wouldn´t agree with Dr. Paul if he did mean this, that the Nobel peace prize is a sign for internationalism. It isn´t. It is a sign for idealism.
I don´t think Mr Nobel who invented the prize wanted to back up international institutions.
At least the committee didn´t mention anything like that.
It was all about diplomacy and peace. And I think you can promote this without supporting internationalism or international institutions.
Otherwise you wouldn´t call it Nobel peace prize but United Nations peace prize or World bank peace prize. No, no, no. I like the fundamentals of the prize, and they have nothing to do with internationalism.
And I think it was a good decision made by the committee, because:
if Obama did mean what he said in his pro-peace speeches the prize will support his policy, and who is against peace?
But if he didn´t mean it and it was just rhetoric, all the people will recognize the abyss.

He achieved the breakup of an empire without hurting the sovereignty of his country Russia. The empire was broke, and IMO Gorbachev did the best to save the country and saved it. Russia now is no bad guy on the world stage which it would be if it had fior instance bombed Europe for breaking up.

Ron Paul is great. The
Ron Paul is great. The message is perfect. However, I think we need a leader who is charismatic in a Ghandi type way. We need a leader that can really motivate people into mass civil disobedience. That is really the only way to grind the gears of this system to a halt. I know you know how to make that happen, but I believe that is the person we should all be searching for.

Dr. Paul is first trying to do this in a political way because once we start with the violence it won't be pretty.
And the numbers aren't there yet---we would get slaughtered.
