Ouch!!! Not his usual home run
Really I thought he did a great job
You knew coming into it that they were going to have a big problem with him being pro-life. No other republican could've answered this issue any better though. He was able to throw to get the women to agree they don't like abortion in some cases - I doubt any other republican could've got them to do that. He mentioned that it's not a privacy issue as much as it is what rights do the unborn have, and did a good job of driving that home with mentioning how as a doctor if he harms the baby he can be sued. And he was able to mention his idea of pushing the issue down to the states. The comment that he's not going to win, and knows that, hurt. Quite a bit actually. But their job isn't to make Paul look good, so what are you going to do? I wish they would've gotten to other issues (primarily his anti-war stance) and not just be silly (who cares about candidates haircuts?) but I think he did a great job considering what he was going into. I don't know that he did anything that would convince undecideds to vote for him, but hopefully it gets his name recognition up there and these people look up his other views and like what they read.

NOBODY else could have done what he did. With ALL the negative energy going in. Sorry, he charmed them. They are all going "He's a Republican??? But I LIKE him"
Don't worry, lots of votes came out of that show.
These guys are getting on my nerves
by labeling Ron always as a longshot......what are they, bookmakers? Ron needs to start calling them out on this obvious slight. "Why does your network feel it necessary to keep calling our campaign a longshot?" At least they are following every move of Ron Paul, if CNN is commenting on the View show. He's got them nervous.

Let's be honest
Can't we Paul supporters be honest? The odds are that Paul won't get the nomination. That's just honest reporting. Can those odds change? Yes.
There's nothing wrong with pointing out the truth. Don't expect reporters to be campaigners.
Since you want to be honest---
How do you know he is a Long Shot?----- What proof do you have?---- I can answer that for you, YOU have none...... Are you going by polls. The same polls that already have an agenda? The same polls that poll a specific type of voter? The same poll that tallies 400 people and sell the fact that those 400 people represent the entire STATE. Are you kidding me!!!! Polls are misleading and bias.
Are you going by debates. The same Debates that are held by teh same MSM that have a bias against Ron Paul. How about the internet and dial polls that Ron always wins yet, only to be told that they don't count.
Maybe you are going by the Straw Polls. The same Straw Polls that show Ron winning the Majority of them. And some they shut down once they see Ron may win.
They use to say money talks. Now they don't say that since Ron is raising more than the other GOP Morons. Now it's strictly polls. The same polls that often time do not include his name. So I asked you again. How do you KNOW he is a Long Shot????? If you don't know, try not to convince those who support Ron that he has no chance to win. If that your version of the TRUTH, how would you define a LIE.

Look where people are willing to bet their money on it, instead of just talk. If you think the odds are wrong, there's your opportunity to make a lot of money.
Note that I don't want to convince anyone not to donate or work for Paul. We can raise his probabilities. Thinking we have it made is not the answer. There is a lot of work to do.

The problem with straw polls
I want Paul to win as much as the next guy, but if a bunch of paul supporters from around the State go to a local straw poll against the very few locals that isn't a reflect of where the State is on the candidate. Now so far all I have heard is at the straw polls its an organize effort from paul supporters to show and vote. If I am wrong then we are ahead.

Not scientific
Straw polls have no scientific validity. Statistics 101. For a poll to be a valid predictor you also have to poll people who don't go to straw polls. That's the key.
They guage organization...
and THAT wins primaries, NOT votes. Just look at how the various caucus structures are setup. In addition, we are the only ones who have consistently doubled poll numbers with no loss, and consistently doubled and quadrupled fundraising.
All of our projections go up, the rest either take a downward dive or fluctuate wildly.
I agree that the odds are still against us, but we ARE on a winning curve, if we have time. The rest are on a losingcurve, and if you ar ereligious pray they have enough time to totally tank themselves.

I don't disagree with you. But primaries don't have any scientific validity either. Only the people who show up get to vote.

That's one positive indicator. People that go to straw polls are more likely to go to the voting booth. But, I don't think that outweighs the necessity of polling people who don't go to straw polls, whether in person or on the internet.
Come on now
The odds are low in LARGE PART because of the activity and slant of the media. This is basic and every media person in the world knows this. I studied mass communication in college, it's a known concept.

Last time I heard the U.S. had a free press. The media can be as biased as they want to be. The market gets what it wants. As long as we keep blaming the media, we're just giving ourselves an excuse not to boost Paul's message and polling numbers. Raise Paul's poll numbers and he'll be all over the media. It's as simple as that.

The media says Paul has no chance to win, so voters don't consider a viable candidate, so therefore he doesn't rise in the polls, so therefore the odds are low that he will win, so therefore the media reports that he is a long shot candidate, so therefore people don't take him seriously, so therefore it is harder for him to win.
Maybe for you this is fine honest reporting, but for me, it's either stupidity or extreme bias. You may be fine with that bias, but as a potential consumer of that media, as well as a citizen of this country, I am not. Therefore I speak out.
We will not have a free country until we demand one.
