People waking up in Virginia
Hi, so I come around every now and again, and I was just wondering if anyone heard about the Grand Ol' Pizza Party that they were having in Floyd VA last night? I don't know anyone from here that lives near me, but I went there last night got to talk to an elected Delegate from the House of Delegates Mr. Poindexter, he didn't agree with me on foreign policy, but we did agree on using more of our own natural resources and importing less, and I also got to talk to the Vice-Chair of the local Republican Committee, he was very interested in what I had to say and agreed with me on most points, and wanted to talk to me further at a later time. One of the points I used with him was that whether you read the Bible or not, isn't it just amazing that 4,000 years ago it was said by the Lord "Do not lend to your brother upon usury." You can look around today to see the results of not following that simple directive, in this economic system that's based on usury, the accumulation of debt, and credit. I even put myself on their email list, and as part of that I can write my own articles or send out links to the others on the list. And I also talked to an older couple about the Federal Reserve, explained it to them, and they agreed with me.
I even got to hear former Congressman Virgil Goode speak, if my research is correct he opposed the bailouts and was a member of the LibertyPAC...that was a lot of fun.
Anyway I just thought I'd drop by and say my story.
John.

Thanks for the offer,
but I won't be able to attend. Still I appreciate your efforts. What do you think of Charles Poindexter? he's the Delegate that represents my particular district, he's running for re-election.

No Problem
The offer stands; you're always welcome, we meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the library near the intersection of 419 and 221.
I don't know anything about Poindexter, is he one of the good ones?

That's Ironic
I used to go to CA to visit my grandparents.

If you're ever in town on the 2nd Tuesday of any certain month, you should attend a meeting. You're always welcome, see the website below for details. Your grandparents are welcome too; we have group members from 18 to 80.

Fed Reserve & Foreign Policy
Does it make sense to say that if you are in agreement that the Federal Reserve should be eliminated then you favor a radically different foreign policy than the one currently in place? If the Fed were gone tomorrow how would we fund the empirical war machine? I assume the answer would be by taxing us through the floor. I guess if we got to that point, the vast majority would favor an non-interventionist foreign policy.
By the way
Want to help get something together for the End the Fed day for Richmond Nov.22 ?
Hi John
I am in Va. Too. I don't know where Floyd is. I am between Richmond and Fredericksburg in Hanover county. Things are changing yet some are staying the same. The subject of the federal reserve is definately picking up momentum, but foriegn policy is still a tough subject with most. The media keeps repeating the same lies over and over so that one is going to remain tough until that changes. Like Ahmadinejad never said anything about wiping Israel of the map. Just google it. There are many sound bytes like that have been drilled in to people that are hard to get through. You can't even get them to look at the facts. They won't believe Osama was never charged with 911 or that there were no WMDs in Iraq. It goes on and on. The republicans just will not face the fact that the US has not been justified and pure in all of its war ventures. All it takes is a little reasearch. Do alot and you will really be awakened and realize how dangerous the enemy within really is. I guess many can't deal with the guilt of being compliant with the killing of our own and others. If they would just forgive themselves and swallow their pride so they can truly stand up against the ones who have duped them and stop them from continuing and repeating the insanity. End the Fed Stop the funding.
Nice to hear from you
Floyd's a rural county in Southwest Virginia. And I would have presented my case to the delegate a bit further, but he had to leave, and my mouth was getting dry from all the talking. :-)

I have had
had some definate changes in attitude towards me from republicans in the county committee and am finding there are many more Ron Paul republicans around here than I thought,or at least that are coming out about it now. We are all behind Ken Cuccinneli for AG around here. I am not that thrilled with Mc Donnel and Bolling but hope Ken will keep them in line ;) There are still too many republicans that haven't learned a thing from the mistakes of the party in the past and still worship Bush McCain and War, We are definately making progress and many can not deny how right Ron Paul and his grass roots were. It is hard for many to admit so I try real hard to just never bring up the way they were before once the light bulb went on. The March in DC definately was uplifting to me. I was handing out Audit the fed info and having done so for 2 years the reception I got was 100% positive whereas in the past many would roll there eyes at me. I live in a rural area too and I don't know how far it is for you but we are holding a pig roast for Ken Cuccinelli Next weekend in the little town (railroad crossing) of Beaverdam at the historic Beaverdam station.Interested in coming? It will be worth it just to hear him speak. Let me know and I will figure out how to send you the evite.
Cuccinelli Conference Call
Here's a conference call my local group did with Mr. Cuccinelli, we asked him some very interesting questions of the nature you may find here on the DP. Here's the link:
http://depositfiles.com/en/files/zvofzfoky
-click "FREE downloading", then wait for the 60 second countdown to expire.
In November I panning on voting for Cucinelli and my local reps, but abstaining from voting for Gov. and Lt. Gov. because I don't think there's a dime's bit of difference between the candidates, and I refuse to do the "lesser of two evils" thing anymore.
That being said, I wish Cuccinelli were running for Governor, he's the real deal.

Hmm can you clarify about the other two positions?
I haven't really done a lot of research on McDonnell and Bolling, I know they're better than Deeds, but that's about it, so how are they basically the same?
"Truth is treason in the empire of lies." - Ron Paul
To be honest
I don't know much about Bolling, I've just heard from some of my fellow group members (who were delegates in Richmond last year) that he is a party insider.
Here's a quick one on McDonnell:
"He described as "illogical" a 1972 Supreme Court decision legalizing the use of contraception by unmarried couples."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/08...
Dudes like him are the reason sodomy is still a crime in the Old Dominion.
That's the type of VA Republican I don't like.
Heck, if I wasn't sure Deeds would fall in lock-step with the DC Democrats, I'd vote for him.

I see...
Well I'd prefer to judge him by his stances on the issues in the present day not on a thesis paper written years ago.. He'll probably get my vote along with Bolling but thanks for letting me know about this.
"Truth is treason in the empire of lies." - Ron Paul
Here's my take:
Both of their voting records on social issues are pretty dismal, in my opinion, but I like both of them on gun rights (with the exception of Deeds flip-flopping on the so-called gun show loophole). Deeds said he'd raise taxes, so McDonnell is the lesser of the two evils.
Did you listen to the Cuccinelli conference call I posted above? It's really awesome; he talked about states's rights, forced vaccinations, VA Fusion Centers, and more. We only recorded about half the call due to technical difficulties, but what we got was darn good.
PS. If you're going to the gun show at the Roanoke Civic Center on October 24th and 25th, you should find our group's table; we'll have t-shirts, books, pocket constitutions and free DVDs.

As much as I'd like to,
Its over in the Eastern part of VA and I don't have any way of getting over there. But yeah, you have to get the message out slowly and civilly, give the opposition very little room to smear you etc.
