did the Atom Bomb cause Cancer Wave?

I was watching Cspan and it was a Mike Wallace interview with one of the inventors of the atomic bomb. He claims that nuclear testing will cause cancer in future generations and they should stop all tests of the bomb or anything nuclear. I take it no one took his advice? Is this old news to everyone? If so nevermind.

not something i ever really thought about before, it should be no wonder really.

Think that a nuclear blast sends shockwaves that circle the globe several times over. Volcanic mega eruptions toss out debris that can reach clear halfway around the other side of the world. Just how far reaching could the negative effects of nuclear detonations be?

just another thing to add to the cancer check list we have to worry about on a daily basis.

It wasn't the best written post ever, so 2 comments might be normal.
Wish there was a way to reverse this. Instead of spending money on the Everglades and polar bears, we should be researching this and reversing this! But this is 1 in a million other things wrong we have. Overwhelm the system, is sure right.

A-bomb. The way they got rid of the water used in the process says it all. They would put it into tankers and drove around back roads and sprayed it on the dirt roads. Cancer clusters everywhere.

told me the govt paid people in S. Utah and Nevada for health related njuries caused by setting off an A bomb in the dessert in Nevada. Anyone have more details w/o me emailing my sis in law?
