Halloween Costume Ideas Related to the Federal Reserve

0 votes

So my roommate just told me I should be the Federal Reserve for Halloween.

Think about it...that it absolutely terrifying.

I think I'm going to do it but I need ideas about how to pull it off.

Dress as the building itself?

Maybe dress like an executive but with a scary mask as the "Creature From Jekyll Island"?

Maybe go around passing out counterfeited dollar bills to everyone at the parties I'll be attending.

Hmm...so many possibilities....

What do you guys think? I need some help on this one.

A zombie bank?

Or Jefferson, with his gravestone over your head ("I killed the banks.") You can keep rolling over every time anyone talks about the economy.

Or Count Bankula, come to suck your lifeblood.

Dang, I'm on a roll.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

I would go as

Hyperinflation. Have a wicker basket filled with money, a loaf of bread and a t-shirt showing what the prices went from for a LOAF of BREAD. Then have handouts with websites that they can go to and learn more about what is happening. It is none confrontational but it is educational. Steer them gently. Good luck.

Prepare & Share the Message of Freedom through Positive-Peaceful-Activism.

Hand out..........

Fortune cookies or some kinda candy's with freedom messages in em? Are we getting out of the box yet?

I did that a couple of years back..

Made a giant credit card that looked like an American Express Card but said American Excess, and had a card number of 911 77 311. On my head I had a pyramid made out of cardboard and painted like the frn pyramid. I had a lit up eyeball suspended by fishing line between a wire frame to top off the pyramid. Also had a pocket sized pc around my neck connected to the internet and showing the National Debt Live!

sweet

sounds like quite a production

Good reaction

...from the neighborhood generally. Just one nasty comment from the typically brainwashed Fox news Bill'O watching type: "If you don't like America you should just leave". I replied sarcastically that "I don't like the way the world is going generally, but just no great real estate on the moon yet"

print Zero dollar bills :)

print Zero dollar bills :)

hahahahha

thats pretty good, it could also go the other direction and do million dollar bills to foreshadow hyperinflation

Get a mask of Alan Greyson

He's so HOT to the Democrats and liberals.. Huffington post has issued their 100 top people making change and Greyson is in top position right now as a HERO for going after the federal reserve bank. Ron Paul who? Some republican... but Greyson... Greyson is going after the federal reserve bank and he's HOT... in by humble opinion, you could dress like a gangster and call yourself Greyson, and for that you would make the point about ending the fed, and being a hero to liberals who don't care who Ron Paul is because he's a republican.

How about a Bernanke mask and a t-shirt printed...

Costume Ideas

Good Idea (from your roommate).

I doubt that they make any "Ben Bernanke" masks, so here's a suggestion:

1. Dress up as the Building itself, and then affix a photograph or two of Ben Bernanke, and Alan Greenspan on some part of the building.

2. Also affix an "End the Fed" protest sign, and/or a miniature cover of Ron Paul's "End the Fed" book. People will get the idea.

3. You could also attach on a bunch of Monopoly Money. Maybe the logo of Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, AIG, Chase, etc.

I think people will then get the idea, and it will also generate some interesting discussion.

i actually found

bernanke and paulson masks online which at first looked pretty cool but when i saw an actual person, not a model wearing it, it looked lame. They were also sold out and $75
haha they had devil horns on them too

i might consider being the monopoly man but with an end the fed twist...

Not a fan of Halloween, but ...

Not a fan of Halloween, but here are a few ideas anyway.

Maybe you could put a few questions in the form of a riddle, such as one "The Riddler" might compose. I agree with the suggestion below about dressing professionally, however tempting posing as the riddler covered in greenbacks with question marks might be. Maybe some of the local dp talent could help you compose a few.

"Riddle me this.
What once was gold became paper,
what once stored wealth, stole labor."

Answer: the dollar

if you want people to really think

don't do something crazy that makes people laugh at you, do something honest and sincere that will make people think. Dress neatly, appear intellegent and professional and hand out flyers or CD's that invite people to research, not dismiss you as a crank. Maybe a tshirt with a simple question on it, that will make people ask you for the answer, then you can hand out the flyer.

meh...maybe

but, this is for a college party that's just about fun and getting wasted. I do enough 'propagandizing' on my normal time. But, still I could explain the sincere reason for the supposed crazy or goofy costume if people ask. With people in my age group satirizing an important issue to make a sincere comment on it is a powerful technique, think of the daily show and colbert report.

If we don't change our direction, we're likely to end up where we are headed.

.

.

I am thinking of handing out $1 with END THE FED stamp on IT!!!

Flood my small town with $1 message.

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they attack you, then you win!"
GANDHI

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they attack you, then you win!"
GANDHI

Why not try to buy

something with the counterfeiting before just giving it away, the FED does !! LOL !!

Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow

an alternate idea

An idea that I read somewhere that gave me a good laugh was to dress up as a zombified Obama, and to go everywhere moaning "Chaaaange... Chaaaaaaaange!"

I know this isn't what you asked for, but it really made me laugh so I couldn't resist the opportunity to share it.

i was thinking almost the same

but borrow from the obama joker poster phenomenon and dress like a bernanke joker with a green beard and the whole red mouth white face thing

Fed.Res:

  • Dress like the Hamburgler, and go around stealing stuff & replacing it with polaroids of the stuff, signing each "Hank Paulsen". You'd also have to stand too close to everyone, and take little bits from everyone's food when at a table.
  • I've always pictured the FedRes as a head of a hydra. Just sayin..
  • "Evil Mr. Monebags?"
  • A Jekyl & Hyde motif exists..
  • Go as the Consume Price Index! But you'll need stilts..
  • Nice suit + bottle (in a brown paper bag?) labeled "$"
  • Or be blunt: dress up as Jason & emblazon "FEDERAL RESERVE" across the forehead, and either wear or have stuck to your machete a chopped & bloodied Uncle Sam hat

go as bernanke and pass out

go as bernanke and pass out fake dollar bills.

This

I posted this but I guess it was deleted??
Mods?
