For his last op-ed column while he remains the sitting Economics Nobel Laureate, Paul Krugman takes aim at all the people wringing their hands over the plunging dollar. If you're freaked out by the 1-to-1 inverse correlation between the dollar and the S&P, or the price of gold shooting to the moon, then you're engaged in dangerous type of thinking that will send us back into the Second Great Depression, if it's acted upon.

The value of dollars are
The value of dollars are falling because too many of them are being created / printed. Which is no big issue, even nice, for those who receive a chunk of these newly printed specimen, aka banks and those not many degrees separated from them; but a real bitch for those who are stuck with the same number of dollars, each now simply worth less.
If Krugman cared as much about actual people as he does optimizing his little in common with reality "aggregate" equations, he would no doubt agree with this as well. But it seems, to him, his equations are everything, never mind them being utterly orthogonal to observable reality.
This man is a cheerleader
This man is a cheerleader for every bad economic decision our government and Fed Bank make.
His main objective is to re-inflate the bubble economy that we previously had.
He is what Tom Woods calls a "blockhead".
Krugman is a worthless turd
He's full of manure most of the time and is always a Monday morning quarterback. Why people bother listening to him is beyond me. Pfffffffffffffffffft........
I disagree with this guy
If he says the falling dollar is a good thing, then he will be clapping his hands when the price of gasoline hits $10.00 per gallon. What the heck is this guy thinking? A weak dollar means inflation: it will take many more of them to buy the things that one dollar bought last week.
If the system is backed by faith, and people lose faith. . .
I see where he's coming from. You mention $10 gasoline; I can assure you Paul Krugman has enough money to never fear inflation or high gas prices. The ultimate slave mistake is assuming the elite live life like we do. The Krugmans of this world could not care less if we drive or eat.

Krugman blows.
Krugman blows.
This means they're coming for your Au
Well, the blame doesn't seem to be directed at the cause of the problem which is never a good sign. Individuals who act rationally are blamed instead. Next step: blame and target hoarders. This train is never late.
The Nobel Prize
is a complete joke. It rewards the the best behaved and most believable puppets of ruling elite.
