Another reframe the debate topic - THEY ARE NOT DOLLARS!!
Folks, I think it is critical for us to reframe the debate in America.
My other thread explores how we need to stop calling them neo-cons and start calling them what they are - communists. (see the thread)
Now, I think we have another area we need to reframe the debate.
Our currency is NOT the US Dollar. What we spend and get paid, are NOT dollars.
The dollar is NOT dying or falling in value.
The government is NOT printing dollars. (you can't "print" dollars)
The FED is not devaluing the dollar.
Everywhere such as these phrases where we use (erroneously) the term "dollar" we need to substitute the term "FeRN."
We need to advocate a RETURN to using DOLLARS, like our Constitution and the original coinage act stipulates.
You CAN'T devalue the dollar. You can't print it. It can't go to zero. It is and always has been, for over 500 years now, a silver coin appx. 2 inches across and containing about 4/5 of an ounce of pure silver. (371 1/4 grains of .999 pure to be exact)
So, let's stop saying "dollars" when we mean "FeRNs" and start using "FeRNs" when that is what we are really talking about.
Let's refer to them as the worthless bank notes they are. Not as money but as "banker paper" and "government IOUs"
To win a debate you have to change perceptions. To change perceptions you have to frame the terms. To frame the terms, you have to choose them appropriately.
We haven't used Dollars since 1965. So let's stop using that term to describe our present currency.

There is no law that says a FRN is a dollar or money.
I have plenty of dollars. I get paid with them for my service and labor. They were created under the thrust of Ron Paul's 1985 Gold Bullion Act and are defined as such at Title 31 U.S.C. section 5112.
Really? May I ask what you do (in general) and how you managed
to get paid that way? I've yet to see any company (except one in Nevada) who does this. I plan to create a free-lance services website in the near future, and I will of course list dollars as preferred payment and charge very high fees for accepting FRNs.
