If I recall correctly, last time the dollar headed south in a big way, real estate was selling to foreigners, big time. They became our landlords in an effort to get something of value before their dollars had none.
Raising interest rates finally halted the dollar's slide, but of course they were often paying cash when no one else could afford to buy.

I'm so pissed because I have been doing my research for 6 years now and have stood by this principle time and time again and now that I know everything that is going to happen after all of that research I am underemployed making 11 dollars an hour, just enough to pay student loans off and bills, and I have no savings available to have gold delivered or do anything to save because the federal government is bleeding my savings. how do recent college grads like myself make money to make money when we can barely afford to eat?? booming relative to now. People still had money to spend. Think of all of the bailouts and money printed out of nowhere since then. The situation now is much worse.
