Anyone else get a call tonight from C4L?

I got a call tonight from what caught me off guard:

"Hello?"

*crickets and long pause*
*great, it's a telemarketer, might as well do my normal and ask them about a current topic and give them our political angle to make them think about...*

"Hello, this is Melissa calling on behalf of the Campaign for Liberty"

"Oh hey! How's it going?"

"Fine, I would like to ask if you would like to listen to a message from the Mr. Tate from the C4L?"

"Sure thing, patch me through"

*listens to message*

"Hi this is michael, would you like us to send messages on your behalf to the senators about the healthcare bill?"

"Of course, send away, I'd like to donate $20, send me a bill and I'll send it in" (they had asked if I wanted to donate along with sending the message-gram to the senators about the Healthcare reform bill)

"Ok sir, thank you for your time"

"Asesome, have a great day!"

Yeah... I got that call too

Yeah... I got that call the other day. Thought it was telemarketers too. Very annoying, but at least it was CFL people so I treated them nice.

Not a fan of that approach though, or the faux emergency donation request letters, the ones where every other sentenced is underlined for extra urgency. The whole operation reeks of low budget scam artists. I know they're not but it still makes me feel dirty. Any money I've donated so far has probably gone to mailing out those bulky letters or for those callers. Wasteful in my opinion. No thanks, I'd rather contribute directly to someone or something specific, and do it online.

Sorry, I like what CFL does and all but their old school donation methods and badgering just rub me the wrong way. (and yes I've written them about it. No response)

Did the call come from a 202 area code? If it did, I received one, but clicked ignore from my cell phone. No message was left, so who knows where it came from, I can only guess.
