Ron Paul: The only bright star in the sky of the Republic
In watching Ron Paul in various TV shows, I got a chill. I realized that I was watching something highly unusual: a thoroughly decent, thoughtful, compassionate, tough, and yet humble man. There is no grandstanding, no bombast, no posturing, no bluffing, no attempts to mislead or conceal.
He just speaks his truth in a way that is so disarming and sensible that it leaves the corporate elites shaking their heads. And it leaves me quite moved.
I don't think I ever encountered someone with this high degree of integrity coupled with a down-home quality that reminds me of my dad. Ron Paul and my late dad are/were gentlemen. They are well groomed, polite, speak eloquently and with facts, and have no desire to impress anybody. They just say what is in their hearts and minds and with a certain grace.
I smile, remembering Ron Paul's two appearances on The Daily Show. When Stewart cracked a joke, Ron Paul's face just exploded in delight. His ability to laugh is winning.
And yet, when he took Bernanke to the woodshed, he was all steely resolve: the Fed's fiscal policies are irresponsible and dangerous. Bernanke was on the ropes, more than once. It was good to see.
His speeches on the House floor are riveting, and have no other purpose than to steer the U.S. away from the dangerous shoals of self-destruction, and back into the clear water of responsible government. He thunders about the futility of sending more troops to die in undeclared wars in countries that clearly do not want us there.
This remarkable man is the brightest light we could have hoped for. And, happily, millions of people are, finally, 'discovering' Ron Paul. As one poster wrote: "Feel good! We will prevail!" I believe it.

He deserves and needs our support. He and Dr. Paul have many, many similarities as well as with Dr. Rand Paul. These physicians make great legislators and are true leaders. I think you meant to write 'patience' but wrote 'patients' instead. But Dr. Paul is a physician and I am sure many of his patients are astonishing in their own little ways.

Dr. Paul chokes me up all the time. It cuts me to the quick that everyone doesn't know him and then accept him as seems only reasonable for everyone's own good. It confuses me no end when seemingly intelligent people do know him and don't accept what he says. It is unfathomable.
What are we going to do if he doesn't run for President in 2012. Maybe he would run as VP for Judge Napalitano?? Or vice versa?? The msm might give him more time on tv if he doesn't announce until later, but I'd like to start building the support. He needs to endorse hard someone who will RUN to WIN. Then we need to correct the voting system.
