" Net earnings for the three months to 25 September were $3.19bn, compared with $845m in the same time in 2008, just before the Lehman collapse."

This is the same company that issued themselves the biggest bonuses in their 140 year history after being bailed out by the taxpayer.

Hank Paulson, while Secretary of the Treasury bailed Goldman out while letting Lehman, their competitor die,

Paulson was also the former CEO of Goldman.

Mortgage Strike?

Then we should stick it to these corporate bankster hucksters by a mortgage strike. Many of us can still pay our mortgages, but why should we? Based on what I am seeing, I would think the banks have no standing to a majority of the foreclosures hitting America, as well as the world.

“The law, according to a Nevada Judge, is that for purposes of foreclosure, both the Note and the Deed of Trust must be assigned. When the Note is split from the Deed of Trust, the Note becomes unsecured. A person holding only a Note lacks the power to foreclose because it lacks the security.” – http://rismedia.com/2009-09-28/op-ed-60-million-mortgages-ma...

Of course this is not the only state where this ruling has been delivered. Kansas, Florida, and a couple of states already have this ruling on the books for the past couple of years. My bet is MERS is not the only party that lacks standing in the majority of the currently proceeding foreclosures. I am willing to bet that well over 60 million American mortgages are being lambasted yet again. I assume almost all mortgages created in the past decade or so probably cannot determine the holder of the Note. So why pay these brutes?

For example, If 5/3 bank was made whole on the Note by selling it to the securitization market and the Note was sold over and over and over again, then why should 5/3 still continue to collect payments on the Note? Are they paying the received mortgage payments to the holder of the Note? How could they if they don’t know who that is? Why are they pocketing money that, again, is not theirs? Should not the person assigned to that Note be the one receiving mortgage payments? If you can’t find an assignee, then you shouldn’t pay the note. This is not just a strike, this is logic…right?

If those who are currently whole decided to challenge the banks in regards to lack of assignment of the Note, then these schmuck bankers would out of the lives of many and perhaps sovereign individuals could potentially roam the earth for the first time in many generations.

Any thoughts?

Why did they get the People's money?
