Not surprised about this.
Not surprised about this. California was having major energy issues not too long ago and it's projected that US infrastructure will not be able to handle the demand within 2 years after any economic recovery. This move is probably part of California scrambling to be ready for that.
So, anyhow, will this law make it illegal to use the big screens or just to sell them? Surely some will buy them out of state...

The energy used and carbon emissions emitted by Californians driving to Nevada and Arizona now to buy their ammo and big screen TVs will far surpass any energy saved by this idiotic plan. What's next, the California "one child policy".?
Of course the best cure for "excessive energy utilization" is a good-old-fashioned economic depression. Nothing better than shuttered businesses, silent manufacturing plants, and empty stores to produce the logical consequences of such a depraved view about energy usage. Heck, it might also solve the illegal immigrantion "problem".

Never watch it anyway. It would be great if they took everyone's TV, no matter the size. Sounds like a good idea to me. But don't touch my computer.

Many ads online like Best Buy for one, rarely lists the wattage LCD TV's draw. I wanted to check a few, but I did'nt find how much power they use.
