Good Use for Ron Paul 2008 Slim Jims
I received a questionnaire (or survey) from the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) in the mail yesterday. They wanted to question me on a range of issues, and asked if I would consider donating money to the Republican Party. They included a postage-paid envelope so that it wouldn't cost me any money to return the questionnaire.
I remembered that I still had some Ron Paul 2008 slim jims in the glove compartment of my truck, so instead of filling out the questionnaire I just stuffed it and one of the slim jims in the envelope. All the bullet points on the slim jim seemed to be perfect answers to the NRCC's questions. I felt a sense of satisfaction and justice after I dropped it into a mailbox this morning.
So don't throw those slim jims away, they're still useful!

Plain and simply put, if you cannot figure out what is wrong in America and don't know what to do about it, take a moment or two and compare what you stand for and how you vote - with the gaul that you do - AGAINST our Constitution and Bill of Rights! Compare that to the voting record of a true American patriot, Ron Paul who with high theater, is mercilessly ridiculed and suffers the contempt of a gaggle of sneering, bought-and-paid-for whores on a regular basis for upholding this same Constitution that you abhor! Since he votes solely with the Constitutional principles that all of you have sworn to uphold and REFUSE to, I think you should follow his example and nothing less, then it won't necessitate your useless and expensive mailings of questions you already have the answers to!
It is sad that the whole lot of you supposed Republicans refuse to see the forest from the trees and it's really quite easy to figure out: it's about time you stopped selling out America, stopped the onslaught of Communistic tyranny, and stopped the theatrics of Republican vs. Democrat hi-jinks, because the American people not only have had enough but are now more than ever, cognizant of your con games! How do you sleep at night knowing that you are bought and paid for by whatever and whomever and have as a result pauperized your fellow citizens?
Well, consider your jobs expendable because the American people are finally awakening and disgusted by what they are learning of your track records and how you have all, both Republican AND Democrat, sold them down the river to tyranny! Perhaps it is time that most of you should find a real job just like us schlubs, and leave the once-hallowed halls of our Republic that you have shamed and sullied to all the new freedom-loving people coming onboard unashamed and unafraid to stand up for and restore our Constitution!
Go away from us O hollow and bankrupt men (and women), with your expensive cars, your luxurious homes and your fortunes made on the backs of the once-sleeping giant - the American people - and may your ill-gotten wealth comfort you until you take your last breath and meet your maker Whom you will have to render an accounting to for your treachery!

Time, Newsweek and whatever Mag. dosn't cover RP send in their PP subscription post cards with RP sharpied on it. Better yet tape them to a brick.

What I like most...
...about the Ron Paul slim jims is the factual information on them: Here's what Dr. Paul believes in and here's what he will do as president. There was nothing on them to promote a cult of personality about Ron Paul -- it was all about his message, not him.
Contrast that with the current president of the United States and his cult of personality.

days ago. Both my husband and I got questionnaires from NRSC with postage paid envelopes. I stuffed them both with old slim jims and sent them in. Their questions are so stupid anyway. They don't actually want any real original thoughts, just want you to agree that the Democrats are screwing everything up. I have quite a stack of slim jims and plan to do this with postage paid envelopes from now on (junk ones).

I like to do this with all of my postage paid...
junkmail envelopes, and have been doing it for about a year now. I print off Ron Paul articles, and anti-Fed articles, such as:
"The Austrian Cure for Economic Illness," On Af-Pak: Stop Helping," "Five Myths About the Gold Standard," Fractional Reserve Banking Made Easy," "How the Federal Reserve Rips You Off." and "Case Against the Fed and Fractional Reserve Lending." These are some of my faves from Dr. Paul and Lewrockwell.com. My wife laughs when I get excited about getting a postage paid envelope in the mail. I figure if I can get one person to read them, it may sway them to the cause of liberty. Bring on the junk mail, I love it!!!!

I have heard of a certain patriot who has been doing that for months going back to the election. A woman senator from Texas once received 38 pounds of "Ron Paul for President" buttons, and of course it was a postage paid envelope...(she probably had enough for all her neocon supporters)
I say if they want our thoughts we need not be ambiguous.
Others have received pocket constitutions and America freedom to fascism dvd's, books by various authors; pounds upon pounds of quality information at the modest price of a little postage.

We must get RID of electronic voting and go to paper ballots, Hand counted, at the precent level, BEFORE 2012! For those that don't have computers counting the vote, ALL VOTES SHOULD BE COUNTED AT PRECINT LEVEL, IN FULL VIEW OF THOSE THAT WISH. Then you have "fair and open" voting. Let's get our act together and get started already.

Independent thinkers acting independently
I had never read about anyone doing this sort of thing before, but it looks like we independent thinkers act independently. Judging by the postings on this thread, others have been doing this for quite some time.
For me, it took an intense moment of disgust while reading some of the survey questions to remember the glory days of handing out Ron Paul 2008 slim jims. I was very angry when they embedded a "how much would you donate to us" question in the middle of the survey. It's like they're treating me like a wallet and just pretending that they care about what I think.
When Ron Paul was running, he really didn't need to ask for money. We heard the message and threw money at him. Contrast that with this "survey", which is really a request for money disguised as a genuine interest in what we think.
Well, the slim jim should tell them what I really think, eh?
The thought of a worker at the NRCC opening my envelope and seeing the face of the last of the Founding Fathers makes me grin. :)

I have received two of those surveys. I didn't have any 2008 Flyers left but I have been writing RON PAUL 2012! with a big black sharpie on the survey and mailing it back. I felt that was sufficient to get my point across.

I've been doing something similar
but I like your idea better. I have been just writing RON PAUL in permanent marker across the front and back of the surveys I receive, and returning them. From now on, though maybe I'll give them a slim jim so they can see the bulleted list of points.
