Richard Russell - ".. a vote for Ron Paul is simply a correct vote."

Richard Russell, eminent author of the Dow Theory Newsletter, World War II veteran and philosopher has written favorably about Ron Paul in the past. In tonight's newsletter he wrote:

"... I have a sneaking suspicion that the period ahead is going to shatter the "magic" faith in the Fed. As far as I'm concerned, the Fed has been a major reason for the problem, rather than the solution.

It's the Fed that has pumped up the money supply at any and every sign of trouble. It's the Fed that has stood behind the fantasy of fiat money. It's the Fed that has allowed the US public to believe that paper money is superior to gold. My instinct tells me that the period ahead may well smash America's almost religious faith in the Federal Reserve and all it stands for.

Who or what will be the messengers telling us of the fading Fed? One messenger will be the decline of the purchasing power of the dollar. Another messenger willb e a rise in the purchasing power of real money - gold. A third messenger will be the voice of honest and courageous men like Congressman RON PAUL.

By the way, have you noticed how much publicity Paul has been receiving lately? Paul has called for the elimination of the Federal Reserve and a return to Constitutional gold-backed money. People, particularly younger people are beginning to listen. Ron Paul is becoming a sort of cult hero. And he's raising surprising amounts of money through the Internet.

The supreme irony -- a return to the basic concepts of the Constitution of the United States now sounds almost revolutionary to most Americans. But surprisingly, it's our youth who are listening to Ron Paul.

People tell me that a vote for Ron Paul is a wasted vote. With that attitude, nothing will ever change --until chaos reigns. My answer is that a vote for Ron Paul is simply a correct vote. I do what I think is right. Even a surprisingly large vote for Ron Paul will send a message. The message is that our "imperial empire" is on the wrong path."
