I'm 100% sure that you are wrong on this one. I know he was involved
with the socialist movement for a time (as many Americans were), but Woody's music cuts like a knife of truth---if you spend time with it.
Woody would have been here with us.

Yeah, he mostly ran in Communist Circles and had a soft spot for the anti-competitive and anti-worker policies of Labor Unions. He was pretty good friends with Pete Seeger. They didn't have a problem with the machinery of the state, but with the particular operators of the levers of power.
