A Call to Christians.

My first Youtube video. Opinions please.
As a Christian it bothers me that most do not embrace our religion and the teachings of Christ and his disciples. If all of us did imagine the world we could live in! Peace, hope, love and charity.

My call to Christians.

The Rebel Jesus...

It bears remembering that (in my opinion at least) Jesus was and is the greatest revolutionary of all time. I find that so inspiring in times like these.
Here is a song to inspire you, called "The Rebel Jesus":

I hope y'all enjoy it!
And thanks again for the post.

Something to think about

I was thinking to make a comment to follow up on our short exchange below. And with the last comment, this seems to be an appropriate place.

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God,...

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

...(objections of Nicodemus)...

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

This account has been used by Christians since before Billy Graham down to the present day to get them to embrace their religion; to attend their rituals and to open their wallets. Today they open their wallets to build their warehouse slaughtering barns.

It seems to me, however, that the most obvious interpretation is the rejection of religion; in this case, the Jewish religion. But the principle is a general one taught consistently by Jesus and his apostles. And I think Nicodemus understood what he meant.

Religion is a product of people (flesh), centered on man. If there is a God, then you cannot have anything to do with him (see his kingdom) through that which you have inherited from the flesh. You desire that others embrace your religion, and the poster just below claims to be born again (in the sense of the wolves like Billy Graham), but Jesus says that you must reject your religion and recenter your existence on God (be born of the Spirit).

I watched the Gandhi movie last night. It's interesting that Ghandi embraced all religions (he was clearly pretty anthropocentric in his thinking), the founders spoke of toleration to all religions and different ways of thinking (as does Ron Paul), but Jesus and his apostles based everything very clearly on a rejection of all but direct communication from God, n.b., It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

As a born again Christian I am really angry with my church

Remember it was the synagogues of Christ's day that conspired with Rome to kill Jesus.

We see similar partnerships between the church and government today where so called pastors pretend they are conservative (e.g., Rick Warren and his college roommate Mike Huckleberry); but both men are just pretenders and sucking in the more simple minded pastors nationwide into their scam against Christian values and undermining faith.

As a christian I see these scum bags as dishonest cheaters... cheating church goers out of a true relationship with Christ in exchange for a fascist ideologue promoting public private partners (fascism) not so different from that practiced in Germany, Italy and Spain not so long ago.

These men are impostors and I have no doubt they and their simple minded followers would put Christ up on that cross again; killing God's Lamb to cover their wrong doing and to grasp at power.

Here is how I know... Rick Warren and Mike Huckleberry seek approval from this worlds kings and power brokers. They are in opposition to the one man that has followed his conscience and refuses corporate contributions and influence. There is one man that though he has faults, consistently stands up to the corruption that is represented in Rick Warren and Mike Huckleberry. That man does not allow big businesses lobbyists in his office, but he will talk to you and me.

His name is Ron Paul, and he is doing Christs work of kicking out the money changers of corruption.

Meanwhile the Huckberry/Warren crowd is too busy making sure they are in compliance with 501c3 speach restrictions and counting and measuring their flocks tax deductable contribution to consider preaching something for God that might interfere with their church revenve and tax obligations. They are already fully in bed and going at it with Uncle Sam.

It is a racket and it is corruption at its worst; basically the same crap that got Christ crucified.

Sad but true.

The American church today is in shambles. There is a remnant but most of it is a sham, just like the false prophets you mentioned that are leading it. We must pray for our brothers and sisters and seek out those who are truly His and comfort one another in the truth because it's rough out there. And it's getting worse at a rapid pace.

I saw your comment on

I saw your comment on google.. You need to be more accurate in words repeat , no offense ..Yea shall know them by their FRUITS..There are 7 of these ..Deeds are not fruits..Fruits come from the Giver of fruit... A good tree bears good fruit...

We as humans should not judge others because they have already been judged by the Highest jurisdiction ..The natural man has been sentanced already...There are non WORTHY for salvation, except that God has chosen to extend His GRACE towards those who would accept His plan & turn from evil..Or you could say those who changed their minds, on the matter of not ageeing with the way God wants His Creation to act..God kept this plan from Satan, that plan being; making man able to become a NEW Creation through Christ..Men are now able to overcome sin & satanic influence & are able to discern the spirits...It is only natural for natural men to hate the NEW Creation because the NEW Creation goes against the wants of natural men..But farther still , ALL of God's creation groans for relief from satan's influence, even the Earth..We all wrestle against principalities & powers, BEYOND human jurisdiction..

I would not judge any leader spirituality soley upon deeds..They can be judged on proper Constitutional performance..Bush's performed what he may have had no choice to perform in the matters..Sometime we, as humans get caught up in something bigger than ourselves..If he knowingly is selling us down the river ,than He will bear the eternal burden.
Love Ya.

great video

well done

Repent, for the reign of YaHUaH is near!

Great Message in the Video!

...it exposes the HYPOCRISY of the idol worship that is "conservatism" above all else!

I am still in this battle for our Republic - and I have been sounding the same horn since I got swept up in what Ron Paul started - and my family needs help!

This message would resonate with with a great MANY older Americans who do not KNOW how to use the internet - so I have authored a book I would like those of us who are like-minded Christians to help me publish to spread this word BEFORE we get swept up into voting for the lesser of two evils again in 2010 & 2012!

One thing: Thou shalt not kill

Translated from the original Hebrew it is "murder" not "kill.

It may not be possible

It may not be possible to embrace your religion (Christianity) *and* the teachings of Christ and his disciples. Those two things are certainly not the same thing and are, as far as I can tell, utterly incompatible.

(I hope that your request for opinions was not limited to Christians---else ignore mine.)

No of course not.

Your comments are welcome. I agree some did not completely "get it". However the over all message is clear despite the discrepancies....Only human.

Good video

The problem with Christianity in the world is that it is not really practiced, except by a few. Mostly it's just lip-service and a vague belief in something bigger. I am convinced Ron Paul is a Christian, simply by the way he behaves and speaks.

I understand your frustration. Imagine the frustration of non-Christians who felt magrinalized by watching your video. Why not make another video some day, and include everyone. Remember, Jesus was a Jew.

Jesus fulfilled the law; He is God.

Your statement makes Jesus out to be a religious Jew of today who does not embrace Himself as Savior! It makes no sense what you said. Jesus came as the fulfillment of the law, the Messiah that the Jews were waiting for but Whom they rejected. Today they practice their religion apart from Christ which is a different religion entirely as they await their "messiah" who is antichrist. Fortunately some will come to repentance and trust Christ (Messianic Jews), but most in this age will not an will perish. There is only one, narrow way and that is Christ.

Very nice job, great music and message.

My wife and I were discussing this just last night.
A coworker of mine made a statement comparing two people who had recently been in the news. His comment was something like. "Well one of them was Atheist, and the other was Christian so at least he has morals". LOL.

I mentioned that it was possible for an atheist to have morals, and he said "yeah, I suppose so". I shouldn't have, but I busted out laughing, and related two things.
1. That I was an atheist
2. That my current and previous Directors have accused me of being the most honest person they have ever met. I didn't say it to brag, only to prove a point.

He never knew that I was an atheist, because I don't go around professing my beliefs. We've worked together for 15 years!
I know he is christian. Because he has little phrases, and stickers around his work area, listens to Christian music sometimes on his work PC, talks about Church often, and has that little fish on his bumper. I believe he just assumed I was on-board. Truth is, I just don't care what religion someone chooses.

I also know that he has a hard time wrapping his mind around an atheist with morals. So I don't bother casting my Atheist "Pearls" hehe.
He constantly gripes about his family fighting about money, and being stingy, when it comes to helping each other in other ways too.I don't get a sense of Christianity, in any way, shape or form. Yet, he wears it on his sleeve. Some people are ignorant that way.

He also never attends work gatherings..Because..check this out.
His wife doesn't like to hang out with "those kind of people"..She actually said "those kind of people". He refined her statement to mean people that don't attend the same Church as hers..Not the same building, but the same version of Christianity, what ever that is..I didn't ask. Again, because I just don't care.

The point of my rambling is that people are people, and amongst All groups, there are those that practice, those that preach, those that practice what they preach, and lastly, those that treat all other humans with dignity and respect no matter what they believe.

Again..I really liked that video. It was inspiring.

woe to those who call evil

woe to those who call evil good and good evil... yes we are to judge.. we have to judge every day between right and wrong.. I find it very agitating when people will take a verse from the bible and say practice what you preach... they will not read that whole chapter to see what exactly what it is that God is trying to teach us.. in the video.. Just because George Bush calls himself a Christian , does not mean he is.. that was a lie to get elected. Jesus said you shall know them by their fruits. Jesus has told us we are to stand against evil. what is evil.. anything that goes against Gods word. sorry but homosexuality goes against Gods word. As Ron Paul has told us there is only one type of war that does not go against Gods word and that is a purley defensive war. Again the wars are started by governments who do not have Christians in leadership. I really wish people would get over the "well he says he's a christian so we must lump everyone else who calls themselves a christian with that guy. Take off the blinders. For the wages of Sin is death. What is Sin? anything that God has told us in his word is sin.. That includes homosexuality.. I am not militant against homosexuality, but I will not stand and allow the homosexual lobby to pass laws against me to not voice my beliefs or allow that person to have special rights over anyone else. Yes God did give us
free will but that does not mean you can do whatever you want and not have a cause and effect reaction. Why do we have the 10 commandments?
is it a list of Gods do or donts? or is it a list of what not to do because God knows what the outcome will be for the person who commits the sin? Sin is what destroys us all.. we are given the free will to choose.. all God tries to do is give us direction. Sorry but Tolerance goes against God and what God says in his own word.. Yes, as Christians we are to judge right from wrong.. not to judge another mans heart.. that is Gods domain. and that jusgement has to do wether the mans soul is saved or not.

Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to

but a sword.

Actually Paul is pretty

Actually Paul is pretty clear in 1 Corinthians 5:10 that Christians are to judge each other in order to keep each other from sin, but that we are not to judge the world. The reason is that as a Christian we have the holy spirit within us and therefore a standard of morality within us that we are to live by and that we can be held to, the world does not have this so there would be no point to judging them, it would just be foolishness to them (1 Cor 2:14).

As Christians we should focus more on unity within the church, for by this the world will know that Christ is real (John 17:20-21) (and by the way, by the state of the unity of the church today, no wonder the world has rejected Christ), once they know Christ is real we should teach that he was crucified for them because of His love for us, then we should extend love and grace to them as Christ extended love and grace to us. Remember, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).

You can't expect a sinner not to sin, but you can lead them to Christ and let Christ do the rest. All of this can be done in love, no picketting, boycotting, or name calling required.

In Matthew also, there are directions on what to do to

believers within the church who are not acting right according to scripture, but it is for fellow believers not the "world".

It is amazing what is in the Bible when you actually read it for yourself instead of relying on someone else to tell you what is in it.

As Christians we went through over a thousand years with only a few people being able to read God's word, and those few corrupted the scriptures to suit their own ends. Now anyone can read it for themselves, but many chose to instead rely on second hand accounts of it.

Same with the Constitution, anyone can read it and understand it, but most of the folks rely on others to tell them what it says.

"What was taken from the boomers, it ain't there, what was taken from the X'ers it ain't there, what is being taken from their great, great, great squared grandchildren it ain't there. Some generation just has to have the guts to quit passing it on." Me

You are correct.

I agree. Thanks!

LOL

Somebody could post about chocolate chip cookies and you'd find a way to bring gays into the conversation.

"I am not militant against homosexuality..."

Uh huh.

I believe he is actually

I believe he is actually referring to the images of homosexuals in the video during the portion about not judging. His comments are relevant to the contents of the video.

Yes, God loves the person ,

Yes, God loves the person , He hates the sin.. Does not the rain also fall on homosexuals ? God wants them to change their minds towards what is in their BEST interests...They also are his Creation ..Of course Creation is a swear word to the natural man...So ???
If you can refute Creation then God would have lost Jurisdiction..This is the reason Creation theory is under attack... "Jurisdiction"..Someone else wants to claim it.

I will say it

If no one else will. I don't care. The MOST HIGH GOD is against homosexuality and fornication. Im not judging either. I am just going by his words, not words taken out of context. He destroyed a city for this. He also wants us to expose works of evil. I am against killing, because he says thou shalt not kill, and I don't believe in locking people up for a plant. However, I will not agree in good faith that homosexuality and fornication is the message of THE MOST HIGH. We have followed mammon ( mans law ) instead of his laws. This is what we get.

The MOST HIGH GOD

He destroyed a city.
he says thou shalt not kill.
I'm not judging either.
I am just going by his words, not words taken out of context.
He also wants us to expose works of evil.

-- 2bfree (rearranged for hilarity)

And so I am compelled to do so:

As I was saying, jealousy is the key; all through his history it is present and prominent. It is the blood and bone of his disposition, it is the basis of his character. How small a thing can wreck his composure and disorder his judgement if it touches the raw of his jealousy! And nothing warms up this trait so quickly and so surely and so exaggeratedly as a suspicion that some competition with the god-Trust is impending. The fear that if Adam and Eve ate of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge they would "be as gods" so fired his jealousy that his reason was affected, and he could not treat those poor creatures either fairly or charitably, or even refrain from dealing cruelly and criminally with their blameless posterity.

To this day his reason has never recovered from that shock; a wild nightmare of vengefulness has possessed him ever since, and he has almost bankrupted his native ingenuities in inventing pains and miseries and humiliations and heartbreaks wherewith to embitter the brief lives of Adam's descendants. Think of the diseases he has contrived for them! They are multitudinous; no book can name them all. And each one is a trap, set for an innocent victim.

--Mark Twain, Letters from the Earth

It is curious -- the way the human mind works. The Christian begins with this straight proposition, this definite proposition, this inflexible and uncompromising proposition: God is all-knowing, and all-powerful.

This being the case, nothing can happen without his knowing beforehand that it is going to happen; nothing happens without his permission; nothing can happen that he chooses to prevent.

That is definite enough, isn't it? It makes the Creator distinctly responsible for everything that happens, doesn't it?

The Christian concedes it in that italicized sentence. Concedes it with feeling, with enthusiasm.

Then, having thus made the Creator responsible for all those pains and diseases and miseries above enumerated, and which he could have prevented, the gifted Christian blandly calls him Our Father!

It is as I tell you. He equips the Creator with every trait that goes to the making of a fiend, and then arrives at the conclusion that a fiend and a father are the same thing! Yet he would deny that a malevolent lunatic and a Sunday school superintendent are essentially the same. What do you think of the human mind? I mean, in case you think there is a human mind.

--Mark Twain, Letters from the Earth
