Late Night Listening: Alex Jones Interviews Naomi Wolf - The End of America

0 votes

I just listened to all three parts of this interview. It is excellent. Please - by all means - postpone your bedtime by half an hour tonight and listen. If you have problems with either Alex Jones or Naomi Wolf, suspend your disbelief for half an hour and please just listen. It is an excellent reminder of why we are all fighting for Ron Paul.

It is very rushed, and gets cut off at the end of Part III, so if you want to read the whole scoop, please get Namoi Wolf's book for yourself or someone else as a holiday gift: The End of America - Letter to a Young Patriot Parts II & III below. She mentions Ron Paul favorably at the end of Part II.

Ms. Wolf's book is

Ms. Wolf's book is excellent, but her use of "democracy" instead of "republic" kind of gets on my nerves.

Use of words

The "left" uses "democracy", the "right" uses "republic".

So long as both are fighting against tyranny, who cares what words they use as their rallying cry?

American Freedom Campaign mentioned im Ms. Wolf's book/video

In an effort to learn more about Amreican Freedom Campaign, I forwarded the video and requested input from a VERY well read gentleman. Here is his response to my e-mail:

"I just took a did a little digging on the "American Freedom Campaign". Their message stunk like an open fish market on a summer afternoon. It uses the language of ideas found in the Constitution, but very sloppily. I've read enough old Communist material that the language was familiar. The fact that the list of signatories is essentially Democrat party die-hards was a big tip-off.

As I suspected, it's yet another front group for the radical left to dupe people normally opposed to them to sign onto their agenda to usurp power. It's very clever, and so very much like them. I don't know if you've read The Naked Communist or any of the early Communist publications, but this is one of the tactics that they're very open about using.

The AFC was created by three well-known pro-Marxist organizations with nice-sounding names: Centre for Constitutional Rights, Human Rights Watch, and MoveOn.org, the infamous red group generously funded, among others, by the anti-capitalist international financier (what an oxymoron) George Soros.

The century-old formula: set up seemingly pro-Constitution and pro-American front groups, garner money and support from one's enemies, and if effective, use it to put their people in power.

Unfortunately We the People as a whole never learn from history, and here we are repeating it a hundred years later in 2007. Fortunately, we have the Internet and the ability to search the radical red web sites where they're laughing at us all the way to the bank.

I've only lightly gone over Naomi Wolf's material, but so far it's typical diatribe meant to scare people with rapid-fire fact and fiction with little to no logical connection. So far it's the same old, ho-hum shameless Bush-is-an-evil-Nazi bashing that's been on the news since 2000. At least, I've not seen anything new or enlightening.

Now, this does not touch on the things that they allege or argue. That's a totally different set of subjects that I can use to beat up both sides of the aisle. *grin* "

Just my two bits.

James

For you "right-wingers"

If you don't like the "left-wing" version of the American Freedom Pledge, here is the "right-wing" version called the "Freedom Pledge":

This was an extremely

This was an extremely important interview for people to listen to. Say what you will about Alex Jones--I applaud him for all the hard work he does and for the countless hours sacrificed, to bring awareness to American citizens.

I constantly hear people besmirch the man and say he is nothing but blow-hard who is out to make money. Yet, Alex passionately pleads with people to buy his videos and duplicate them and pass them out to family, friends and co-workers--etc. That doesn't sound like someone who is out to make huge profits.

I have been listening to Alex Jones for more than 8 years now. He has consistently had Ron Paul on his show to report to us the latest encroachments on our liberty.

Frankly, I am rather sick and tired of people kow-towing to the establishment. So, as John Hancock wrote his name boldly on the Declaration of Independence, I boldly say I am proud and thankful for Alex Jones' insights, research and taking a hard stand against tyranny!

God Bless Jones, Wolf and all who relentlessly stand up for Liberty!

"The moral and constitutional obligations of our representatives in Washington are to protect our liberty, not coddle the world, precipitating no-win wars, while bringing bankruptcy and economic turmoil to our people." ~Ron Paul

Coincidence Theorists Abound...

I understand that some paradigms are harder to break than others, but when historical patterns emerge, and the template fits current events with familiar names and faces, denial of the obvious takes some pretty convoluted thinking.

What Naomi Wolf and Alex Jones have done in this interview bravely serves all of us with a concise encapsulation of historical facts which defines the template we find ourselves in. The false left/right paradigm falls apart, and what emerges is the real battle for Liberty in a Constitutionally-Limited government Vs.a (Not-So) Creeping Totalitarianism.

With the weight of evidence forcing our immediate attention, many Americans are willfully sleeping through the fire-alarm. Smoke is filling the room, flames are flaring out of the next room window, but they would rather complain about the shrill-tone of their security system, than fully WAKE-UP and take appropriate action.

The Ron Paul Revolution is primarily made up of Americans who are taking such actions, but occasionally we find some even in our ranks those who would rather blame the messengers for their rude awakening, then shift out of their media-induced comfort-coma.

You have to create a coincidence theory to justify ignoring this. There is just too much light here to keep from seeing it.

For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst and provide for it. - Patrick Henry

Thanks. Very eloquent.

The fire analogy is so perfect.

"Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action." -- George Washington

The Constitution is the fireplace!
It contains the fire.

Was there a c*nsp*r#cy in Germany before it was overrun?
Was there a c*nsp*r#cy in Russia before it was overrun?
Was there a c*nsp*r#cy in (fill in the blank) before it was overrun?
What would a c*nsp*r#cy be most scared of?
... and what would it do to protect itself?

Join the war on tyranny!

I'll answer the last question...

It would wage a war of humiliation against use of the word: "c*nsp*r#cy"

Now you know the answer to the question just above it.

left/right paradigm

Speaking of the false left/right paradigm, here's a good video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7KHUbuhgpQ

The danger of falling into the false left/right paradigm is that it keeps the country divided at a time when the people need to unite. For example, "The View" wasted 10 minutes quibbling over the abortion issue, which is pathetically irrelevant right now.

It's like alcoholics quibbling over "Taste great" vs "Less filling." Unfortunately, a lot of people enjoy the familiar drama of red vs blue so much that they won't change the channel to the truth.

Ron Paul's Big Tent

Love this comment!

The Ron Paul Revolution is primarily made up of Americans who are taking such actions, but occasionally we find some even in our ranks those who would rather blame the messengers for their rude awakening, then shift out of their media-induced comfort-coma.

We are all in the same Ron Paul Revolution, whether we agree with one another or not, or whether we agree with Ron Paul 100% or not--that is the beauty of this rEVOLution!

Prescott Bush, Smedley Butler

One of the issues discussed in this interview is the connection between Prescott Bush and Nazi Germany. The implication is that the connection never really ended, and that today's Bush administration encourages a partnership between industry and government. That relationship is, by definition, fascism.

Here's a quick primer on the relationship of the Bush's to fascism:

Smedley Butler was a great American patriot. If you don't know why, please take a few minutes to Google him and find out.

???

Why are some of you so reluctant to think this is possible? If the government was as efficient as they would have us believe we'd already be screwed. Believe me, there ARE people out there who would like to see this happen. Whether or not it will, only time will tell, but there IS a growing threat against us, and you would be naive to think otherwise.

"Truth is treason in the empire of lies." - Ron Paul

I enjoyed this interview because

it is always good to hear alternate viewpoints. I understand their concerns about the growing power of the Federal Government, but thus far they have not reared their ugly heads to abuse the massive power that have given themselves.

It is my hope it is not too late to change things, but if it is too late and America becomes a Fascist regime then at least I am heard the warnings for "conspiracy" theorists. I am one to believe you can never have enough information from enough different sources...it is the only way to make informed decisions.

I am a Ron Paul supporter because I am wary of the threats made to our way of life. And if these two are correct in their concerns then I have a future date with a cave in the mountains of California. I hate power mad individuals, at least we can take comfort in knowing those types of people will burn in Hell for eternity. ;)

A point that is ingored by Ms.Wolf

She ignores the fact that there are millions of us who are not the least bit apathetic, are mobilized and just so happen to be in the process of restoring the constitution of the United States NOW.

She also assumes that the US armed forces would obey an illegal order.

She also assumes that 60,000,000 constitution toting gun owners would just roll over.

She also assumes that every, politician, police officer, soldier, sailor and citizen of the United States would give up our rights in unison and agree to this police state jack. Sorry, honey. Not today.

When presenting an argument, you need to make assumptions. All the above assumptions are wrong...bad argument.

Go write another book.

I also agree that Mr. Jones has a sales agenda and we don't.

Best to all including Naomi,

T

Unify

Read her book - the ten steps are mutually reinforcing

and happen over time. She doesn't assume that it will all happen at once.

What she assumes is that the President will give himself dictatorial powers legally and nobody will notice.
She assumes that the Government will set up secret prisons where they torture people and nobody will stop them.
She assumes that they will hype an external and internal threat and use that fear to strip away legal protections and rights.

She doesn't say that it will happen overnight, what she says is that it will happen incrementally over time and it will happen before enough people notice. And, by then, it's to late.

And, if you haven't noticed, a large number of the 6,000,000 gun toting Americans are still rock solid behind this president and his expansion of executive powers and elimination of individual rights.

Incrimentalism

Incrimentalism is thier biggest weapon.

Think of the Fabian Socialist symbol of the tortoise.

Missing the point

I think you are missing the point of what Naomi Wolf and Alex Jones are trying to do.

They are trying to wake up Americans before it's too late. The police state laws are already on the books (Patriot Act 1, Patriot Act 2, Military Commissions Act, etc.) They just have not been fully implemented on the general public.

On the part about "the US armed forces would not obey an illegal order." They already have! The Iraq war is illegal under the constitution. Ron Paul has said this. Torturing people is illegal. Holding prisoners indefinitely is illegal.

You should read up on history. Your big underlying assumption is that everyone has to agree to a police state before one is implemented. And this is clearly not the case throughout history.

What?

Have you read her book?!? Like I said earlier there are probably several other issues that I would disagree with ( I am strongly pro 2nd ammendment and I didn't see that in her book ) but I pretty much agreed with everything in her book. Have you seen how readily most Republicans who used to be low tax, small government conservatives have rolled over and let the neocons control them? I would be surprised if any Ron Paul supporter strongly disagrees with the points made in her book. The amazing thing is that our government has become so corrupt that people on the far right and far left and everywhere in between are starting to come to the same conclusions.

she is just waking up, too

When I saw her speak in Boston about 2 months ago, she said she just *finally* realized what the 2nd Amendment is there for! Give her credit for keeping an open mind, learning, and coming forth with what she has learned from her warning.

The point is that everyone has a piece of the story - does anyone get everything right? We should all follow her lead, & Dr. Paul's lead to take truth where you find it.

I know that I am here because I heard the truth spilling out of Ron Paul's mouth one morning while I was watching CNBC. I was pretty much sick of all politicians and thought they were all corrupt, until I heard him berating "Sir" Alan Greenspan on the Fed and fiat money.

remember

They came first for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.

Then they came for me,
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

This is BS

This Naomi story is very fishy to me, specially coming from AJ. He is the preferred outlet for disinfo. Please, keep this site away from AJ for now. let's work to elect RP and then you can all go back to conspiracies or moon landings. I know some of what he says is true, but he makes us look bad.

WHAT????

Look what Alex is saying is right, he may rant and rave, but thats his style. This is EXTREMELY URGENT INFORMATION. You need to take a long hard look at what both of these individuals are saying. I have smelled a rat for along time WITHOUT listening to Alex. What they are doing is waking people up to the dark direction we are heading down. Did you know that Supreme Court is now determining if the second amendment is for the people or militias! THIS IS NO JOKE.

Where's the BS?

Did you listen to the interview? Before you discourage others from listening, I would ask that everyone listen and make up their own minds. Don't drag old baggage that you may have of Jones or Wolf into the interview. Just listen to what they are saying and judge the arguments on their own merit.

To his credit, Alex Jones has introduced a lot of people to Ron Paul. To her credit, Naomi Wolf has written what is possibly the most important warning book of the times we are living in. To her further credit, she can bring this message to many, many of her fans who otherwise might still be sleeping.

Disinformation

Alex Jones is not "the preferred outlet for disinformation". Exactly what has he said that is not true and how does he make you look bad?

I just read Naomi Wolf's

I just read Naomi Wolf's book and I think it is an AMAZING book of facts that you can introduce to other people. She does a good job of covering what is going on without going into Conspiracy Theories. Alex on the other hand is sort of a red flag because he's such a profound leader in the Patriot Conspiracy Culture. It was an amazing interview because I've wanted to see a more mainstream person like Naomi talk with someone like Alex Jones to really talk about a lot of the issues going on.

To his credit whether you like or agree with Alex Jones, it is vitally important to give him credit because he has exposed people to Ron Paul way before this whole presidental race. In fact I would have never known about Ron Paul or even probably not support him if it was not for Alex Jones' radio show...

Morgan Reynolds

and many many other disinfo people. He wants you to forget about them.
He is disinfo. We don't need a super conspiracy theorist here; not at this point. Maybe after the elections and RP wins.

THE ONLY DISINFO

is you mole.

Question repeated!

Exactly what has he said that is not true and how does he make you look bad?

Naomi Wolf

I am also sometimes worried about bringing too much Alex Jones type stuff into discussions about Ron Paul. It very well may be true but we already have enough easily provable talking points to make an effective argument and unfortunately it is very easy for the media to portray conspiracy theorists as "nutjobs". But I will say that I have read Naomi Wolf's book and I don't believe that it has the stink of a paranoid conspiracy theorist. It just points out some basic trends that existed in the rise to power of many statist governments (conservative and liberal) over the last century and shows that the same tactics are being used in our own government today. I'm sure I would disagree with Ms. Wolf on alot of things but not on the points that she speaks about in this book.

What?

How does he make "Us" look bad? Are you one of those people who go around jumping on people who post things you don't absolutely agree with? If you don't agree, or don't like the post it must not have been left for you, go look at another one.

If someone wants to point this out then so be it. There are a LOT of people here who know what is happening and aren't afraid to listen to someone telling the truth. If you think everyone is crazy for thinking the Fed isn't our best friend, you are in the minority on this sight.

If you truly believe that the mention of AJ or NW makes us all "look bad", you don't understand the Federal disinformation, lies, and secrecy that has led to the Ron Paul movement. But either way you can quit your wanna-be "hall monitoring". If you look dumb for someone posting this then you must be one of the many Americans who need to know this stuff, because not knowing is what truly makes a person dumb.
