Masons
Submitted by oswegoscott on Mon, 10/19/2009 - 09:04
Lately I have been seeing many disparaging remarks about
the Masons. I am NOT a Mason as I'm not the "joiner" type.
However, my father and son are Masons, as well as other
family members-past and present.
Question-- do you think all of them would keep me in the dark
about anything detrimental to my way of living, along with my wife and children, or our lives?
They have NOT advised me as to anything I should be aware
of, nor have they admitted to any "foul deeds" when I directly
ask them.
Therefore I have to conclude that what I read is simply BS
and/or propaganda. Does anyone wish to refute my logic?

I was doing babysitting for a couple. I was learning about all this stuff and found out that he and his dad were Masons. I was talking to the wife and she said that they got this really scary letter she said she would show it to me some time but she didn't. It was from them it scared her that they didn't answer it. It said they would only contact them one time and she said that they were never contacted again. Your relatives are either not high up or they may not give a shit about you. It is not likely anyone will convince you of anything so believe what you want but I notice the people that are always so sure are the ones that do the least amount of research.

Think of it this way
Most of us understand how this country was hijacked. We also understand that to control an organization one need only control it's leadership.
Look at the things our country has done while under this corrupt control. Does that make the American public bad people? Not exactly because they have no idea. Would your average American defend their country against criticism? Yes - they would and they do.
Now substitute Masons for the American public.
There are different
There are different levels.
The average mason has no clue either, what the higher ranks are all about.

My father is a Mason
he is 84 and lives alone and very strongly considering moving to the masonic home. He blacked out and found himself on the floor and realized living alone might not be a good idea. he is pretty well off and they will take 70% of his worth but will take complete care of him including medical for the rest of his life. Even pay for a nursing home when/if it comes to that. They would do the same for a mason who was not so well of. I never remember him being very active with them. He had his own business and hung out at the beer joint alot. He was a good provider and a lousy father. Not what a mason is supposed to be.I talked to him about being a mason a few times recently and it is supposed to be about being a better person, husband, father ect. Hence the symbols of the square and compass. Represents building a better life. I honestly don't think it is a big deal. I think alot of rumors get started by people who they don't accept as members. You have to be accepted. They don't take just anyone. There is supposedly quite a screening process. Now who knows what goes on at the very top. They would probably throw him out if they knew what he was really like lol
I wish my brain worked in such a simple way
Black, white. That's it. Must be nice. Read "Morals and Dogma" and get back to us.
Explore Orthodox Christianity
Not I
My dad and grampa were Masons, and - at least to my dad - it was a charitable and social organization. Each year the Shriners held a parade with elephants (among other acts) which led to the big circus, which- as a kid - I adored. I had front row seats!
I do not suggest that there are not elements within the Freemasons which are a bit nasty, but I have no direct knowledge about that.
To be a Mason is to be an American
I went to an Order of the Rainbow event once http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Order_of_the_Rain...
I look forward to going again. What I saw, blew my mind. These kids, boys and girls were there for a competition.. it reminded me of events like when I was in Girl Scouts, but it was much better.
These kids were competing in art, sewing, cooking, dance... They modled the clothes they had designed and fabricated. Outstanding work, and the kids are the judges! The kids ran the show!! You should have seen what these kids can do.
I have four awards from the American Culinary Federation in vegan/vegetarian competition. The food presented.. These kids could have earned medals with their presentations on a professional chef level.
While the kids were allowed to be kids, they were well attended, they were being groomed, taught, educated, listened to, reasoned with, given adult problems and walked through it, with each other..
I think any kid will have a hard time competing with these kids. These kids are going to college. These kids are humble, kind, assertive, clear thinkers, and BEAUTIFUL.
If we had more Masons we wouldn't be in the mess we are in. We are in this mess because of FEAR (mongering) and IGNORANCE in the name of Jesus and God/Allah.
You want to get ahead? Join the Masons.
WE ARE GOING TO WIN!

There is NOTHING
American about Freemasonry
There is NOTHING Christian about Freemasonry.

"Freemasonry is deceptive and fraudulent...Its promise is light—its performance is darkness" - President John Quincy Adams
“I do conscientiously and sincerely believe that the Order of Freemasonry, if not the greatest, is one of the greatest moral and political evils under which the Union is now laboring.” - President John Quincy Adams
"The Masonic fraternity tramples upon our rights, defeats the administration of justice and bid defiance of every government which it cannot control." - President Millard Fillmore
"Masonry is a distinct and independent Government within our own Government, and beyond the control of the laws of the land by means of its secrecy and oaths and regulations which its subjects are bound to obey, under penalty of death." - Massachusetts Legislature, upon investigating the secret society in 1834
"The governments of the present day have to deal not merely with other governments, with emperors, kings and ministers, but also with the secret societies which have everywhere their unscrupulous agents, and can at the last moment upset all the governments' plans." - Benjamin Disraeli

About my topic- "MASONS"
HAHAHA So far my family is un-Christian and upset some people
almost two centuries ago. Again, are they so evil that Masons in my family wouldn't inform me of danger to me and mine?
Matthew 5:33-37 and James 5:12
Nothing against Masons, but I don't believe someone can be a Mason and a Christian, it just goes against the idea of being a free person. True Christians are free, so why would they need to take an oath and bind themselves to a organization of men. For that matter, why would a true Christian take an oath and bind themselves to an organized church?
As for secrecy, I have studied masonry for years, and I have yet to read or learn anything really interesting. Sure there are some good esoteric stories, but nothing that I can see that is of such great value. Even works such as Morals and Dogma, that exalt Lucifer are really a little foolish and childish, which is not surprising. Some people praise Lucifer for which they are free to do, they may even wish to take an oath to such a creature, but personally I pray for Lucifer. Big deal.
That there are skills that can be learned by studying masonry, sure, but nothing that can't be learned from someone willing to freely educate without obligation, since even studying the bible requires a knowledge of secrets found in the teachings of masonry. Actually I think speculative masonry is an insult to operative masonry, which when it comes to operative masonry, actually produces something for communities while speculative masonry tends, although it claims to build good character, it truthfully is self serving, in the effort to achieve higher levels and therefore a higher position within masonry. Take George Washington as an example, that self serving Mason. However that being said, I personally do gladly sit down and exchange ideas with members of masonry. I think social projects and building hospitals are great ventures, certainly activities that are not restricted to only those bound by the law and bound to oaths.

Pragmatism?
I'm sorry, but this statement raised major warning flags in my mind. In fact, this line could very well be the most truthful statement of your entire post and the most revealing about what the Masons are really all about. If you want to get ahead in the current system, promotion through the Masons is the way to get it? Think about that for a minute.
I am still working through this issue, but there are many things about the Masons that give me serious pause. I discovered that my grandfather was actually very involved in the Masons and actually achieved level 32. But he also was suddenly no longer involved with the Masons during the last few years of his life and would not talk about it. I knew he had been a Mason, but I had no idea he had gotten so high. So, I too have a family connection.
These comments about knowing people who were Masons and good people, etc. is really rather pointless. Do we not all know "good" people who have bought into the lies of our government or the Obama administration? Are not many of us struggling to open people's eyes to what is really happening in our country? If good people can be misled by a corrupt system in our government and politics, why can the same not be the case with the Masons?
There are a lot of things about the Masons that give me pause: the secrecy, the pagan rituals, the philosophies. Remember that Satan himself (Lucifer) was an angel of light and the most beautiful of the host of heaven. Evil is often robed in very attractive clothes, but it does not mean that the heart is diseased.
I am not calling for condemnation or judgment upon the Masons -- God alone is the Judge -- but I will keep them at a wary distance.
Sure
I'll bite...
Your post is arrogant. I don't know what you've read lately on other posts but because you didn't care to elaborate on anything, we don't have any points here for discussion or debate.
Other than that, just because you haven't been told about something (even though you may have asked directly) doesn't necessarily mean that something hasn't happen or won't happen in the future. It's not like you're somehow entitled to know everything that goes on in those lodges.
"Get to the choppa!"
Say what?
It is arrogant to expect to be protected by one's immediate family?
Do you know what diparaging means? Well, those are the type comments I am referring to. Some feel that the Masons HAVE
done evil things and PLAN on doing more--that is what I want to
know. WHAT are they going to do?
Entitled to know everything?????? Of course not--only
entitled to care and concern from relatives.
If they were 32 second degree masons
They did, but i bet they were not and I bet they were truely good people.
If voting could really change things,
it would be illegal. Here is hoping for change!
Masons go
To 90 degrees and probably beyond that.
From what I understand
it is the 33 degree that are in the know not those below who do good works. Those below provide cover for those above who control. I think it is the same with all the organizations, religions and government departments. We are all being used. This is how they operate, it seems. If you were a gangster wouldn't this be the perfect cover. I am no expert but bump for others who may know more.

Thank you for that truthful statement..........
