Because of this Interv---Slam

Stewart Rhodes -guest on Alex Jones Now 3:30pm EDT

A great example of yellow jounalism, hit piece, slam crap.
Matthews is poor excuse for a reporter. I can see why his ratings are in the tank and why the NWO keeps him on the air being a mouthpiece like the character Squealer in Animal Farm, but without Squealer's personality..
slime -ball host Mathews talks over guest Rhodes
do they teach this tactic in journalisn school?
why wasn't the jewish fellow from the SPLC talked over by Mr Slime??
when the SHTF i just hope all of these controlled journalists like this NBC "slime ball" Mathews,
that have been of part of the 9-11 inside job COVER UP to the FEMA CAMPS
will have their day
randy n.
Rhodes should have answered directly ...
or not gone on Matthew's show. When Mathews brought of the "birthers," Rhodes should have brought up the 2004 Associated Press article describing the "Kenyan-born Barack Obama". The time for cordiality is over. When you are being attacked by the host, attack back. Buchanan used that effectively in the past, and it really does work.

He can not, no matter if he
He can not, no matter if he agrees or not. Especially on shows like this. OK is still an extremely young organization, and Matthews was looking for any reason to marginalize us. Stewart did an excellent job in avoiding those blatant, and childish attempts by Matthews. Overall, it was a major success for us, in that, we gained significant positive attention(despite the propaganda attempt) and membership. Rhodes is a Paulian and is working to spread the correct message, and is succeeding.
...Chris Matthews is nothing...
...but a turd in the punch bowl of Liberty...
...He seemed very concerned that people would actually not obey an unconstitutional order...
...and that they would uphold the oath they swore to it...
...Chris, your in the wrong bowl, buddy...and it's time to flush...

Quote of the Year
“We swear an oath to the Constitution, not to a man, even if he makes a thrill run up your leg when he talks.” - Stewart Rhodes
http://oathkeepers.org/oath/2009/10/22/quote-of-the-year/
Chris Matthews is doing our
Chris Matthews is doing our work for us. He is coming across as a total jerk while Stewart Rhodes is the voice of reason. Matthews is actually upset that Rhodes is asking policemen and military men to stand down if they are issued an unconstitutional order. As Matthews mentioned, it was the Southern Poverty Law Center that first spewed out hatred of the Oath Keepers. These are the same guys who insist that any opponent of illegal immigration is a virulent white supremacist (even if he's black). They insist that all militias are dangerous haunts of white supremacists. On and on. The SPLC makes its money by scaring its donors with tales of Klansmen under every bed.
MSNBC has become the Faux News of the left. Remember when that black guy appeared with an AR-15 at an Obama event? MSNBC showed only an extreme close up so you could see that a man with a white shirt had a semi-automatic rifle, but you couldn't see what race he was. Then the airheads at MSNBC blathered on about how "racists" were showing up at Obama meetings with guns. (The man was interviewed at length by Alex Jones. He seems like a decent guy who simply wants the government to leave him alone. He voted for Ron Paul.)
Cris Mathews is a water boy
Cris Mathews is a water boy for the elite interests. And in this interview he proved himself to be the Bill O'Reilly of the left. A semi-powerful apparatchik of the fourth estate who browbeats and bates people who are not as media savvy as he is.
" Now sir, I'm asking the questions here, and so I repeat, When you beat your wife do you strike her with an open hand or a clenched fist?" These are the kind of cheap, set-up, questions that Mathews specializes in.
And he says that we have a legitimate government because we have democrats and republicans debating the Patriot Act now six years after its enactment. This is one of the many reasons I quit watching TV a number of years ago.
What an ASS !!!
Could Matthews possibly be any more of an ASS ??!! Putting words into Rhodes' mouth, cutting him off, talking over him, etc. What a jerk !!
It was glaringly obvious this was all about trying to smear OKers. Matthews ignored Rhodes' explanation that it is not a militia nor was their goal to "take up arms" against the gov't - but to put down arms in the face of illegal orders. Matthews tried desperately to bury the reality with his fantasy, but failed miserably and just looked like a total jerk-off.

“Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.” -- John Quincy Adams
Fabulous job by Rhodes. He
Fabulous job by Rhodes. He made Mathews look foolish because he kept his composure, stuck with undiputable goals like keeping oaths, and wasn't sucked into the slimy mud pit Mathews had planned for him.
8 Appeal to Fear
"You're recruiting armed men." "Do you have the firepower to stand up to the federal government"
This line of "reasoning" is fallacious because creating fear in people does not constitute evidence for a claim.

No matter what any of us thought about this interview, WE
won! Oathkeepers went from 4,000 members yesterday morning to over 5800 today. That is a great thing. We picked up two members just from the Walton & Johnson show this morning, here in the south. I watched this thing grow. Just read the testimonials. These are great patriots. They don't want violence. They just want to follow the Constitution.
You, that are not ex-military/ Law enforcement can still join. I just ask that you, Love this country and our Constitution. There will come a day when you must back up this pledge but hopefully we discourage the ones in power to see they are out numbered. There are more vets than active duty. The government is out of bounds and will be screwed in the long run. I see a time of current politicians begging to be released from their FEMA camps, without their families being sent there, because of their stupid actions.
No one within Oathkeepers wants violence. We just want our country back and there are certain things that will not happen ON OUR WATCH!
God bless these Patriots. SOME ONE HAS TO DO IT!
One day you can tell your children or grandchildren where you were when we saved our country!
Damn! Gotta love that!

16 BandWagon
“your laughing at that, people will think your crazy”
The Bandwagon is a fallacy in which a threat of rejection by one's peers (or peer pressure) is substituted for evidence in an "argument."

First one to post a number starts that thread. Discussion follows.
If we practice shredding MSM programs according to this formula, each of us stands to improve their own arguments and rhetorical skills. Now we have discovered that these shows suck, the question becomes, “Why do they suck?”

This is a reply to the thread that I started.
and where you replied with a question.
I started new threads labeled 8 and 16 by clicking "Add new comment" near the top of this page. These are listed by number at this link:
http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/
Clicking the numbered items at the above link takes you to an explanation.
So if you thought my argument was weak for 8 or 16, you could reply to bolster or refute my arguments, by "Reply"ing to appropriate thread.
You can start your own thread for a fallacy you identified by clicking "Add new comment" Enter the Number and the type in the subject. Then in the Comment section add your argument to the conversation.
Is that what you are asking?

Jon Stewart interviews Chris.

J.R.R.Tolkien noticed that we enjoy tales of scorn and pity towards men. But for day to day life it helps to make useful judgments. However, when the interviewer or speaker uses logical fallacies then the one useful judgment I can make is that this is not a proper argument and the presenter is wasting my valuable time.
A quick review of the list linked below demonstrates the ability of the show’s writers to layer fallacy on top of fallacy. I believe one could make plausible arguments for at least 10 of the 42.

Great Interview by John Stewart. Notice the way Matthews walks
out in the beginning, with his arms crossed! Who does that?
Matthews book explains away the appearance that Matthews lacks a soul or any character.
Anyone remember Amy Goodman with Matthews and NeoCon Smirkconnish on MSNBC's 10th anniversary?
She nailed it:

I wonder how many hours per day Chris Matthews worries
about the HUGE lie MSM spreads, since it's beginning to become unraveled for the masses right before his eyes ...Why should anyone be worried about a group that"re-affirms" it's OATH to the Constitution? Unless they have other desires contrary to it?
Mathews acted like a douche
Mathews acted like a douche bag which is a good thing. It only made Stewart look like a concerned citizen.
"Human beings with love and compassion are some of the most beautiful creatures in the universe... Those without are a plague on us all."
"Human beings with love and compassion are some of the most beautiful creatures in the universe... Those without are a plague on us all."
HA! ...as Matthews would annoyingly say.
douche acting like a douche. that's why I didn't even watch the vid, it's not good for my "chi".
Why did he duck the question on state sovereignty?
What's so bad about telling it like it is that the Civil War was a sham, and that secession is good.
lol gee i dunno...
lol gee i dunno...
Ventura 2012
Other than that,
he did a pretty damn good job. Good that he got a jab in at Bush there to bring himself out of the left-right paradigm a bit.
Uh , it gets cut off right at the end,
where's the rest? Anyone got a link?
Steward Rhodes is awesome! Another Champion of the
