I wonder how those here who argue corporations shouldn't have

rights would justify being against Net Neutrality?

Net Neutrality includes government control over corporations to force them to act in such a way that proponents see as being in the public good. In short, socialism.

If corporations don't have rights, then government may control them in whatever way it wants.

Where do we draw the line?

I'm sure we are all on a list already,WTH! I feel they/the eliet, are hoping we are all to broke to march on Washington, have a sit in and not come home till congress and the Whitehouse is for We The People and not We the Corporations. Once our best line of communication/internet is gone, What do we do then?

We wish we had done something truly meaningful

That's what we'll do.
Of course, I'm sure there will petitions floating around the camps.

It's weird. Everytime tptb have a plan, they do it

I wonder why they NEVER listen when we ask them nicely not to be such tyrants. It's almost like the whole system is corrupt and only serves the corporations. Well, if this keeps up, we may need to take drastic action---like an online petition or a TWO page letter! And if that doesn't work, we may need to really get serious and Digg it. Don't even make us start tweeting. It's no wonder they walk all over us, we're fools.

Where is the constitutional authority for the FCC?

I can't BELIEVE so many

I can't BELIEVE so many people are supporting this crap! I guess the PR spin machine is pretty damn effective.

Blaargh.

Another article's explanation follows on Net Neutrality

FCC to vote this week on 'net neutrality' rules
By JOELLE TESSLER
Associated Press http://www.theeagle.com/business/FCC-to-vote-this-week-on--n...

WASHINGTON -- With Democrats in charge in Washington, supporters of so-called "net neutrality" rules seem poised to finally push through requirements that high-speed Internet providers give equal treatment to all data flowing over their networks.

These rules -- at the heart of a five-year policy debate -- are intended to guarantee that Internet users can go to any Web site and access any online service they want. Phone and cable companies, for instance, wouldn't be able to block subscribers from using cheaper Internet calling services or accessing online video sites that compete with their core businesses.

Yet making that happen is proving thorny -- and it's likely that the courts and perhaps even Congress will ultimately get involved.

Shelly, what would you say to the FCC

...and will it do any good?

Since when does the FCC have the authority to determine such concepts as Net Neutrality by a "vote"?

I know - I don't know how

I know - I don't know how they can justify this. And I don't know if it will do any good, but it can't hurt. If we don't at least balance out the people supporting this bill, they'll assume they can push it through with no problem.

Not on my watch!
