This is the first Continental Congress in over 200 years. It goes from November 8th to November 22.

didnt get what they expected to get and are asking us to pay for rooms and food if we can. please help the CC of 2009

perhaps you can contact some C4L members in Chicago to see if they might put you up also youth hostels are less expensive them hotels .
This is a good suggestion except that CC2009
has contracted for a property to hold the convention and on their website they were hoping to get enough donations to cover that expense.

Because of this and their lack of donations
you are trying to raise a bit of extra money to help pay your food and lodging expenses on top of the fuel to get there.

We The People and the Continental Congress is a subject
that I believe should have received more of our time and effort---and it is not too late. They need donations at the CC2009 website to house the delegates, and this young man needs just a little more help to have gas money to get there.
CC2009 will be a discussion by elected delegates from every state as to what should be done if Congress doesn't Redress our Grievances. This is a Constitutional process and we should support it.
I think if you would go to the website and see the respected patriots that are involved in this, you would see what I mean.

And you are almost halfway there! The amount you say you need should certainly cause people to realize you are very conservative with your spending---and you are only asking for enough to cover actual expenses.

just chipped in 10.I know times are tough but this isnt a greedy guy he is only asking for 250 for his trip which I atleast thought he would need a grand. Brian is going to be able to film this event.Imagine being able to film the first continental congress .Someday maybe 200 years from now your great great grandchildren will be able to watch this event and say look these were the famous men who saved the Republic
