Let's see: I run the risk of MAYBE getting the flu, missing work and filling miserable for about a week... OR running the risk of getting the vaccine and suffering from something much worse? No thanks

BUT, if I have a loved one who may have a respiratory condition that leaves them particularly vulnerable to serious complications were they to get ANY version of the flu, it MAY... MAY be worth looking into. MY CHOICE, MY LOVED ONE'S CHOICE and we would consult our (I did say OUR) physician and get his input as well.

My heart and prayers goes out to that girl and her husband... along with anyone else who is exposed to some greater (although perhaps less likely) risk to their health because they have not been informed of all the facts; Risks/Benefits

is that big pharma is about profit, not health. Their agenda is to replace our immune systems with their products. This whole flu pandemic pandering nonsense just shows how in bed big pharma is with the media and the gov't.

Aren't always a bad thing and can actually provide some benefit... However, they never should be forced, and I believe they should never be given to children. After the first round of vaccinations when I was a child, they almost killed me and my doctor exempted me, my brother didn't get exempted and had other issues. Recognizing that my family was probably not good with vaccines, I exempted my daughter for "religious" reasons...

But in regard to the *flu* vaccine specifically.

Potential Reward: Avoiding a week long illness, MAYBE.
Potential Risk(low, but present): Death, permanent disability, etc.

If anyone thinks it makes sense to take this risk... Well...

There's no proof vaccines have ever provided benefit for - or prevented any disease.

If ANYthing, they are responsible for stifling the outward symptoms of certain diseases - which only means that it's allowed to stay inside your body instead of being purged/cleansed causing a MYRIAD of chronic disease throughout one's entire life.

The disease is the cure. When you get outward signs of the meales, that's your body purging pollutants/viruses/bacteria/dead cells, etc, in your body. It's a result of toxemia.

Western medicine now MISTAKENLY sees the body going through a cleanse/purge/fever as DETRIMENTAL and stifles this process.

We now have, as a result, kids with asthma, allergies, cancer, arthritis, diabetes, autism, ALS, MS, crohn's disease, etc and so-forth, at an alarming rate since - especially - the early 90s when the vaccine-rate TRIPLED !!!

Coincidence?............hardly.

to respond to you. You have a single minded agenda, incapable of thought or reason when presented with facts and information. You believe your forceful, obnoxious, "I AM RIGHT" attitude in some way adds to intellectual discourse, which it does not.

Having said that, since this specific comment was not rude, just overbearing and inaccurate, I will go ahead and respond and point out some inaccuracies.

Many symptoms to illness are indeed the body's attempt to purge the disease, however, that is not always the case. Taking one truth and attempting to fit into everything is intellectually dishonest and lazy. If the body is unable to purge the disease, death may result, depending on the disease. So you are correct about that at least, the body heals or dies but either way the disease is destroyed. I would prefer to not end up dead, but hey that's just me.

Further, as I hinted at above, sometimes the symptoms are as dangerous as the disease itself. Depending on the fatality rate, a choice must be made about whether the vaccine would be beneficial. hence my statements about "flu" vaccines.

Vaccines have been scientifically proven to be effective at controlling outbreaks once herd immunity is achieved. It has also been proven to be effective on an individual level, with some risk.

The question isn't whether vaccines work, they do. The question is, does the reward outweigh the risk.

As I have told you before, if you approached the topic from an intellectually honest perspective, you might win more people over.

In response to your edit: They didn't know what caused scurvy, they didn't know what an infection or virus was, etc back then. That is not to take away from what they did learn and teach. I personally use the oldest form of "modern" medicine but they did not have a full understanding of medicine in the least.

You are correct in pointing-out that scurvy isn't a purging, but a lack-of-nutrient (vitamin c).

I SHOULD have clarified that certain diseases and/or ailments can ALSO be a result of - not only poisoning/toxicity - but a LACK of certain nutrients/malnutrition.

Other than that, I completely stand by my comments and offer no apology for stating things in the manner in which I have.

As for so-called "herd immunity", that is the biggest farce ever perpetrated against mankind.

"Herd immunity" should actually be considered libel/slander to those who refrain from vaccination.

It is a FALSE accusation that those who don't vaccinate are harming the general public.

There is ZERO science backing-up so-called "herd immunity".

ZERO.

What are your counter studies to the vast, overwhelming body of evidence?

And once again, you try to limit the discussion and apply a few facts to the whole body of evidence. Lack of, and purging are not the only forms disease take. There are also genetic diseases, there are mental diseases which manifest themselves physically, and probably more causes than I can count.

The fact is, just because you refuse to acknowledge the legitimacy of the studies, does not mean that their aren't studies, and it doesn't mean that you are right. It simply means that you choose to disregard evidence.

I can provide REAL WORLD evidence that "herd immunity" from vaccination is a scam.

First off, why don't we have mass deaths in the Amish community? SURE some of them get sick every so often, but getting sick is NOT evil. Getting sick builds your immune system and it purges impurities.

Also, there are huge pockets in Oregon and California of parents who do not vaccinate their children. We constantly hear from the so-called "experts" that if the vaccination-rate doesn't stay at 95% the world will come to an end from these diseases of which we vaccinate coming back.

Excerpts from the following article:

Twenty-five percent of Ashland kindergartners were exempted from at least one vaccine last year. That dwarfs the average statewide exemption rate of 3.8 percent, a rate that's also inching up.

Pockets of Oregon don't come close to hitting that.

This isn't so rare...its happening to 1 in 90 children. I guess its just a little more rare in adults to see such a severe and compelling case. What a tragedy. This was a real tear jerker. I wish I could tell her about the Doman method and cross pattern crawling. I believe it could help her. I do think she may recover since she is athletic and obviously has a lot of guts since she revealed this personal situation on the news - that can't be easy. I do hope she recovers.

that are vulnerable are just that. vulnerable. When someone can walk backwards and run, but not forward, it means the mid-brain was damaged, and a flu shot could easily do that. For a younger child whose cortex is developing, those cells are most vulnerable, and autism is a cortical injury.

Dr. Paul is not opposed to vaccines, he opposes government madates of vaccines and government endorsments and subsidies of them.

This news report states that doctors believe her dystonia was "triggered" by the seasonal flu shot.

Can someone give me a link to a professional article discussing this or similar cases of dystonia?
I can Google all kinds of "news" articles referring to this girl, but so far nothing for health professionals warning them about this possible complication.

At least I can't find any scientific evidence warranting the assumption implied by the title of this post.

BTW, I happen to have treated a couple of patients with dystonia. One was caused by brain trauma during a car accident. Most cases are "idiopathic", meaning that nobody knows why they got it.

In this case the timing from the shot could be coincidence, but I would like to read what a neurologist would have to say about it.

with a Dr. who states some of the concerns you brought up but more authoritatively says that her mind has exclusively done this to her and not the result of taking the flu vaccine. Further, she states that there is no history of flu vaccines ever causing dystonia as a side effect. The video was floating around YouTube a few days ago. I don't think they can know what caused this without tests and evidence. The flu shot seems to be the only thing presented as a potential cause however. I would warn the anti-vaccine crowd that putting all your eggs in one basket could easily backfire if an alternative cause is discovered, proven, and backed with patient history. Do the research and find the evidence to back up your claims. Start with the vaccine and dystonia, what was in the new vaccine that wasn't in previous, and a hypothesis of how this could have happened.

I am really upset, I feel terrible. I hope they find a cure for that terrible affliction. I also hope she becomes a full time jogger, seems things are OK when she is running.
