Resign from the USA!
World Net Daily (WND) is enjoying a major marketing coup. They say that 1.7 million people have each paid $29.95 to have a "pink slip" sent to their congressman and senators in their name. To me this is beyond silly. It is a waste of $29.95 because it will do little to increase liberty and it is the wrong approach. I would instead register my contempt for the whole collectivist enterprise by sending in my "Letter of Resignation".

Or so says the Declaration of Independence. And so, instead of trying to "scare" a congressman with a meaningless, futile "pink slip" that has no power, with my "Letter of Resignation" I would instead withdraw my consent to be governed. If 1.7 million people sent in "Letters of Resignation" that would send the bigger message, that the whole game is called into question, not just a few elections or seats in congress. If we are not free to walk away from the statist enterprise as individuals, we are not free in any real sense. In the future governments will have voluntary membership and no powers or property beyond that of its members as individuals. If you don't like your government under this system you'd cancel your subscription and sign up with a new one, or none at all.

The legitimacy of a government to serve a free people is wholly
contingent on the consent of the governed.
The writers of the American Declaration of Independence believed that:
“...Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just
powers from the consent of the governed,...”
and
“...that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their
Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are
Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
and
That from time to time “...it becomes necessary for one people to
dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another
and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate
and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's
God entitle them..."
To that end I, the undersigned, do hereby withdraw my consent to be
governed by the government of the United States of America and do
renounce the jurisdiction of that entity or its subdivisions and/or agents.
I have no intention to interfere with the legitimate functions of the
United States of America as regards those who wish to live in peace
under its authority while respecting my sovereign and unalienable rights.*
