Having to declare your carbon footprint by year's end

Here is an article out of BC, the first province/state in North America to pass a carbon tax, which describe the not-so-straight-forward method of figuring out how bad your business is that you operate.
Of course nobody mentions that humans do not make carbon - it has always been here and always will, or that plants breath CO2, but instead
"Business owners shouldn't look at it as a hindrance,[they say], but rather as a valuable exercise to identify strengths and weaknesses in their operation."

once upon a time,

I came down off a roof behind a restaurant, to hide in the shade and cool off while repairing an a/c unit. the co2 truck showed up to fill the 150 gallon tank, as he was venting co2, I asked him about his "carbon footprint" he just looked at me funny. btw, there are big tanks of co2 behind every restaurant. another time I was working on the refrigeration system for a large co2 tank, as the pressure would build due to the heat, the owner would vent it while I was repairing the machine. I asked him the same question and got the same look.....
co2 has to be kept below zero degrees F and that equals 350 psi.
co2 is the bubbly in your beer or soda.
in theaters and auditoriums, people exhale it, and there are sensors that open fresh air dampers.
just my 2 cents........

Knowledge is power, action is love.

I declare

carbon doesn't make footprints. Feet do. And unless you put them in concrete the wind and rain will wash them away. ;op
