Dude, are you serious? Is all that's required to pass as fact that something is posted on a website with the word "fact" in its name?

Here's a real fact: If the government picks up the tab for your health care, they will ration it. Period. Do you really believe anyone can get any kind of care they feel like any time they want for free? No wonder this country is going down the drain.

Currently health care is rationed by your provider and by yourself. If you disagree with your provider's mechanism for rationing, you can go to another provider. If you disagree with all providers' mechanism for rationing, you can do the rationing yourself. According to Obama's plan, the last option won't be available anymore, or will at least be severely curtailed. And, even the second option will be curtailed severely by Monkey Mike mandates that all "insurance" companies cover all people for the same price, regardless of health condition and preexistings. Even for a millisecond considering this could possibly not be so, even in a theoretically "perfect" world with all citizens a bunch of smiling Obama clones, shows such a complete lack of basic intellectual facilities, it is almost scary.

Of course Fox will often put a snide spin on things, but with government care there Will be "death panels." All countries with socialized medicine have them. As does all countries with private insurers picking up the tab. They might not be explicit, as the average PC hack that works in those systems, and the drones they are dependent on for support, tend to think of it as distasteful, but it operates in every hospital via budgeting, and every insurance / health department via policies regarding how much they will pay for what to whom. If the budget is down to the last $1000, and that money can be used to either save 3 kids, or extend the life of one geezer for an additional hour, the geezer is goners. Regardless of the fact that he may be the one who have spent his life paying for the system in the first place.

The difference is that, in government pay systems, you have no choice of death panel, and , unless you're very wealthy or connected (like, a politician. Or a banker), you have limited ability to take on the death panel role yourself, by assigning it to your wallet.

In contemporary medicine, given enough effort, it's possible to keep almost anyone nominally "alive" by pumping blood and drugs through enough neural matter to keep some electrical activity in the brain going. It just costs an absolutely obscene amount to do so. More than even Obama has in his stash of golden words. And, perhaps more meaningfully, there are all kinds of interventions that can improve people's quality of life, but that also costs way too much if absolutely everyone were to get them cost free. Imagine every person with a hearing aid getting a new one every time something marginally better comes out. Or everyone wanting the kind of 24/7 access to their own doctor on a half hours notice that accompany some of the choicer health plans offered to those willing to pay for it. Not to mention every fatso on the planet wanting the latest and greatest in "mobility devices", aka high tech, electric wheelchairs for fatsos to drive around shopping mall food courts in their never ending quest for another donut.

Someone WILL ration all this, and if government gets involved, those someones will be drawn from the same public sector unions who is also charged with deciding how much of the total budget to allocate to direct patient care, versus how much to allocate to the retirement plans of those administering it all. Which, for very good reason, ought to scare the crap out of anyone who might one day be stuck in the patient role in such a system. In the current, flawed, system, at least you have the option to bolt to a right to work state.

apologist? After reading several of your comments, you seem to be more concerned with defending Obama and his polices than you are in showing Fox News is lying about Obama. I’m not going to defend Fox or Obama. I think they both lie.
