Tomorrow my congressman, Congressman James Sensenbrenner, will be having a town hall meeting in my village. Sensenbrenner is the author of both the Patriot Act and the Real ID Act, and I'd like to ask him what the heck he was thinking when he created them. So I'm looking for some input as to which aspects of those two bills I should ask him about or how I should ask him to convey the the point that the liberty-loving people of this country don't appreciate our rights being taken away in the name of national security.

I'm hoping to also address the issue of Afghanistan and Iran, but I'm sure I'll be limited to only one question.

Sensenbrenner is pretty good when it comes to financial matters like the banker bailouts and voting against them (he voted against all of them), and he's a co-sponsor of HR1207 (has been since May). However, he's a true neocon when it comes to matters of taking away liberties for national security.

At least throw in

something about the constitutionality of the acts and how they can be considered as part of the fight for our freedom when they rob of us of our liberties? Isn't that an oxymoron?
