I think it is very important!
A lot of the funding you mention like T.A.R.P. and spending accounts is ultimately managed by the US Treasury. It is my opinion the FED and anyone in the know does not want a full audit of the FEDs books because it would shine light on deals they have made with other G20 central banks, along with banks in our country that needed a lender of last resort because they made bad decisions and did not even have enough capital for fractional reserve banking.
