correction (I think)
I think the number at http://www.meetup.com/topics/polact/cand/pres/ and http://ronpaul.meetup.com/ is the number of actual people in RP meetup groups; the number at http://ronpaul.meetup.com/about/ is the total number of members of the groups. That number is inflated due to some people being members of multiple groups; I'm a member of 6, myself.
That said, it's still a blowout of epic proportions. :-)
