On October 15, 2009, We Are Change Boston asked former Federal Reserve Chairman, Paul Volcker, about the Bilderberg Group.

This short video clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfBRTzzqfLM) is highly significant for several reasons, including:

1) A former Fed Chairman, Volcker, acknowledges that the Bilderberg Group exists.
2) He acknowledges that he attended their meeting this year (2009), and two or three times previously.
...
4) He indirectly admits that the Federal Reserve is a non-governmental private institution, by implying the Act didn’t apply to his attendance.

I have to agree with Volcker that Bilderberg group probably

doesn't control the world.

It's hard to believe that that could be accomplished in a once a year meeting, much less accomplished at all. People can communicate through email and telephone, etc.

I don't think there's any one group of people controlling the world.

I can understand the attraction to the idea that there's some group calling all the shots. It's kind of intriguing and makes more great novels. But I think the real enemy is certain philosophies, like that central economic planning works, rather than particular people or secret societies. I think that's more in line with the way Dr. Paul sees things.

"Admits"??

It's no secret that the Federal Reserve is technically not part of the government and never has been. This is not an "admission." No one has ever claimed it was. The whole idea being setting it up is that it would not be part of the government so that government couldn't influence monetary policy. That was supposed to be a good thing. Now whether it totally independent from the government is doubtful as there is probably some collusion or political pressure going on. As Dr. Paul points out there is pressure for the Fed chairmen to keep interest rates low in order to keep the president from firing him.

They have a .gov account

federalreserve.gov, so they do put on a false front.

I think the false front is that it is private.

That's the real deception I think. They want you to think it's private, independent from the government.

I think you have things a bit backwards.

Think about what they're saying about getting audited. They're saying we can't audit them because they're private. It's not something they hide, but something they try to make known.

Bumpity Bump Bump!~

BUMP!
